I had a mini project to upgrade the lock on my older shed. So i now have a very robust setup. I used conduit and top hat brackets. I might put up some pics on my channel. thks.
Hi there. Ive just had a quick look at your channel. Looks like loads of interesting vids. Subscribed. Will start makin my way thro them as and when I get time. ATB, Des
Have a look at a magnetic parts tray Des. They are very cheap but very useful. I bought a round one to begin with but in the following years bought a set of the small ones and also a larger rectangle one. They have proved to be money very well spent. No more lost screws, bits rolling off the table etc. I also added a bit of metal to my aluminium ladders so I can have a handy place to pop things like screws when working up the ladders. They are widely available on Amazon, eBay etc. Look forward to seeing the gate being made/installed.
Hiya buddy. I do actually have 3 or 4 knocking around but they're elsewhere. I agree though - they're absolutely invaluable. Obviously I need to get some more! Take care, Des
Evening ...yes I’ve often found the fixings with a lot of ironmongery is sub standard and as a consumer I’d rather pay a few more pennies and get some quality screws . Good luck with the gate and look forward to watching the vid
This is what happens when you make a video after the old vino starts kicking in, you forget names of things lol. Also, now that you've mentioned that you play the harmonic you're gonna have to give us a tune mate. Lastly, I've got a couple of blue trays exactly like yours and from the same place, got them exactly the same way you got yours too .. The 5 fingered discount. 😉😉
Hmmm .... vino vs senility .... could go either way my friend. Which is a great shame cos' I can't remember where those blue trays came from ............. :?)
