Thanks Mike, you always seem to find these good plugins that offer quite a lot for free or very cheap, but have good quality features. Thank you for all you do mate.
I already have it, but had not figured out how to use most of it's "useful" functions, so thanks a lot for this explanations. And I truly "hope you well" too. Cheers!
I will be downloading and using this EQ. Seems to be very useful and has features I have been looking for and it's free. Thanks for an excellent tutorial.
I think you’ve just introduced me to my new EQ, this looks excellent. I don’t have the budget for Fabfilter so can’t compare. I’ve been using TDR Nova for a few years and had good results. This looks to have sooo much more though.
@@AlexEscalante Collision visualization, unlinked dynamic EQ frequency detector vs equalizer, more bands are only the first ones that I see Nova hasn't, and there are more...
Hi Mike, thanks for the heads up and tuition. I am downloading now, it has some cool features, not sure if it will take the place of the Pro EQ in Studio One but I think it will do a good job.
I've recently been toiling with several different EQs, attempting to shape the sound of some harshly recorded guitars. I can't wait to use this Mike, I'm hoping it will help me chase down a good sound.
@@CreativeSauce TDR Nova GE can also do this, but I don't think the free edition can. Kirchhoff is even more flexible, you can trigger the band based on the relative level of two different frequency ranges (e.g. voice range vs. sibilance range), but it's a bit fiddly to use.
Thanks Mike, I'm gonna download it as soon as I get home. I fall into the category of a home user not wanting to pay the $$$ for the Fab unit but want to try something like and see what it can do for me.
Great plugin - I've been looking for a cheap (free) version of this sort of eq for awhile. Sometimes, I need more eq nodes than what my eq can provide so I've been using two eq plugins to achieve this. 16 nodes available - great!
If I didn’t already have Kircchoff EQ, I would have opted for this one instead. This does so much of what Pro-Q and Kircchoff can do for literally 0 dollars.
Very cool EQ, I just use the stock plugins in CW, but its special features are interesting... And I'm always looking for free and nice plugins. Thanks Mike!
Mike, great content as always, greatly appreciate your dedication! Will capture this EQ for sure. Can I ask you please to take a look at the plugin called AutoGain from Hirnet Plugins. They have few releases from Classic, to Pro MKII. It seems like a good Alternative for vocal rider. Question is, if it does the job as it should. I hope this is interesting and perhpas you can make a video about it. Best of luck Mike!
This appears to be be a great eq especially considering it's free. Pro-Q 3 is one of the few plugins that I've purchased with no buyers remorse, I absolutely love all Fab Filter plugins, but they are a bit pricey. I will probably download this to play with, but don't think it will be my "go to" eq.
Thanks for the review. I heard it is pretty cpu hungry tho. Any thoughts on that aspect? Did you try multiple instances on a larger resource intensive project? Id be interested, but if its a cpu hog...id rather just use a different eq.
This plugin doesn't want to open on my computer. I've used two different DAWs. Reaper and Tracktion Waveform. I have a 2019 iMac with Metal 2 support with Big Sur 11.7.10 installed. Any ideas?
My Windows Defender says this might be a dodgy program so I decide to download it anyway. Whereupon my antivirus software flags it as a problem and Windows says it can´t install it.
@@PocketSunlight Defender may or may not be "crapware" but it's been a very long time since I've seen F-Secure send a download to the quarantine folder as fast as it sent this download there. Too bad, I'd like to try it, it looks like a decent EQ. :)
@@oldmangreytard3368 I understand your concerns - too many dodgy people about! Though Microshafts updates only ever seem to be security ones - they've got more holes than a Tetley's tea bag! 😜
I don't understand what the collision detection is doing. The manual says it compares the main-chain signal and the side-chain signal. In my testing, I had one track and no side-chain, but it still detects collisions. what gives?
Can we take two eq same time and see the frequencies on one eq in order to separate eq from one another, that can be done on pro q, is it possible in this eq?
Я попробовал этот эквалайзер с твоей подачи. Спасибо. Но мне он не понравился. Он плохо оптимизирован в сравнении с pro q3. Он малеха притормаживает и жрет больше чем кьюшка, с одинаковым набором точек.
An excellent explanation of Side-chaining, dynamic EQ and collision detection! And that's definitely a product I'll take a second look at. Be well!
Thanks Mike, you always seem to find these good plugins that offer quite a lot for free or very cheap, but have good quality features. Thank you for all you do mate.
WoW. I can't believe this is free. It's chocked full of features. I've already DL'd it. Thanks for the heads up on this.
Wow, everything EQ I ever wanted in one single plugin. I'll definitely give it a go.
Definitely downloading now...thanks Mike! Great tutorial.
Downloaded ZL equalizer. Thanks Mike for the heads up.
I already have it, but had not figured out how to use most of it's "useful" functions, so thanks a lot for this explanations. And I truly "hope you well" too. Cheers!
Thank you :)
It’s an awesome free open source EQ!
The lesson to learn here is that people sell their plugin for way too much.
Or for whatever people will pay for it: FabFilter have huge brand recognition and that sells
I will be downloading and using this EQ. Seems to be very useful and has features I have been looking for and it's free. Thanks for an excellent tutorial.
Just found out about ReEQ the other day and now I have something similar I can use in any DAW. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the tutorial, Mike! I had already downloaded it, but you've made it much easier for me to start using it as intended.
I think you’ve just introduced me to my new EQ, this looks excellent. I don’t have the budget for Fabfilter so can’t compare. I’ve been using TDR Nova for a few years and had good results. This looks to have sooo much more though.
I also use TDR Nova when I need something like dynamic eq. Not sure what this new one brings to the table.
@@AlexEscalanteI think TDR Nova has a quite limited number of bands at least in the free version for example
@@Tremendouz Good observation! Thanks!
Yes I've been using Nova for a while as well and I'm wondering how it compares in actual sound quality, like when you use precision + in Nova.

Used it for the last few days and works really well.
How did you get it to work !

Thanks for the heads up, Mike. Downloading now and take it from there. 👍
Great find Mike. Thank you for making us aware of it!
Lo estoy probando y no lo puedo creer! Es magnífico! Muchas Gracias!
Downloaded. And thanks for the guide on using it. Sounds like you're running a bit of a cold there? Hope you're well.
I am Graham - winter just hit here!
I'm using it since a few weeks, still learning, thanks for thr video

Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful as always. Have downloaded it and am using regularly.
Downloaded!... now lets play with it.
Thanks, Mike.
Kirchhoff EQ has a similar detection option you described here Mike, but not for free lol
Ahhh, I still haven't tried! Thank you :)

There's also a similar one called "shape it" absolutely free.

If I recall correctly, my Kirchhoff EQ do the trick with the different detection frequency.
Its ok.
I have the free toneboosters demo (save disabled) plugins
Might use it...
But thanks Mike
Does it have oversampling? How does it sound?? Looks banging though. Hopefully no more Ableton envelope follower hacks!
This was basically the developers looking at Pro Q and saying hold my beer.
Thank you for this!

Best dynamics EQ for linux.
Does anyone know what the minimum Mac operating system required is to run this plugin? I've looked on the website and haven't found anything about it.

This plugin seems to use very high CPU cycles. It freezes my Cakewalk. I deleted it.
can this be used in fl
is it a linear EQ?
yayyyyy😍😍😍
Very interesting and free?
If you need 16 bands of correction, you need to start over.
Can it do EQ match tho ?
I think they got that idea from pro-mb free band?
Does it have linear phase option?
Yes!
Its not free for Mac 2013 .. ..is it because I have tried and nope download but not seeing it in pro tools
Maleware detected. HEUR/APC
