Both Shabani and Momotaro are impressive! It is a joy to watch Momotaro crisscross the ceiling in his enclosure - he is strong, muscular, agile. Watching him swing from the overhead bars only holding with one arm is incredible! Unfortunately, Momotaro never lived with another male until Gentaro. He had no silverback to emulate. Likewise, it is joy watching Shabani play with his offspring especially allowing Kiyomasa to test his own strength. Shabani had the good fortune to grow up with siblings. He knows how to live in a troop having learned from his father Kibabu. He watches over his family, and nothing escapes him - he is there if needed.

Shabani is serious when he needs to be but very silly flexible and playful with the troop. both wonderful daddy's...and don't forger Momo had no example,.as his father passed before he could really know him. I love the idea of mixing offspring from these two troops. We need another baby girl from AI??

Among the younger ones Kintaro rests as the coolest and funniest of all. Gentaro has the perfect physique of the gorillas and is more likely the smartest of both families. Genki and Momo did a great job putting together a smart and good looking family!
Kiyo is bigger, more gentler, and is definitely better looking that Gentaro. Shabani is handsome a true leader, cool and loving dad with a reat sense of humor and by far a better lover than Momo. Shabani's troop is much more superior than Momo. I still live Genki and Kingtaro's relationship.

I definitely love Shabani better... He's a better silverback all the way around he has patience, he plays with all of his troop, he is a good father in raising Annie, etc.. Momotaro-he has great looks.... But that's pretty much it. Well he does play with his boys on occasions, but attacking his only mate Genki is his biggest flaw. The Gorillas, orangutangs, bonobos, chimpanzees all share a high DNA to humans.

As you know, Momotaro was born July/2000. His dad Biju died at the end of Oct/1999. Sadly, Momotaro never even saw him.
So how long You are still using this excuse about Momotoro? He has been already more than 10 yrs in this zoo.
