This season also started with a bang, and it's already ripping our hearts out 😭 The moment when Hershel got bitten was so unexpected and brutal! 😫 You can now find our reactions to episodes 2-11 of season 3 of The Walking Dead over on our Patreon: www.patreon.com/ScribblesReactions
In Season 1 and Season 2 Carl was 12 years old and In Season 3 He’s 13 years old. This episode takes place over days 295 - 297 after the Zombie Apocalypse began. The Season 2 finale happened on Day 83 after the Zombie Apocalypse began so there is a time jump of 212 Days (7 months and 2 days) between 2x13 and 3x01 which is nearly 8 months. Rick’s been awake from his coma for 238 (7 months and 28 days) days now so it’s been a time jump. He woke up on Day 59 which is about 2 months.
Can we all just take a moment and observe how awesome the first minutes of the episode plays out. Not a single word is spoken but we can see so much about what the characters have gone through since the end of Season 2. We can see that a significant amount of time has passed which is 8 months given the way the characters have grown and facial hair (Hershel) They have gotten a lot more experience and are working together as a great team We can tell by how well organized search of the house is done by all. They have bonded and are growing closer to each other Great scene and great job by the actors conveying all of this.
Undersand how most of the fans at this time about Lori's character... In season two many disliked her,in last episode when Lori pushed Rick away when he reached out for her after telling her that he had killed Shane is when most fans began to Hate her... In season two she kept flip - flopping between Shane & Rick by giving them mixed confusing messages that resulted in Rick & Shane always fighting.... She was at this time the most disliked Charater.
I think Rick was upset with Laurie because at first she sat behind him and whispered in his ear “would you kill to protect what’s yours? Shane’s dangerous and he wants what’s yours.” Or something to that effect and when he actually ended up killing Shane in self defense not because she wanted him to when she was scared of him she got upset with him and for those 6-9 months (or however long it was) they probably been at odds about it since. I think he felt like he had to kill his best friend in self defense and his wife wouldn’t comfort him and take his side while he was struggling with that fact instead she was mourning her lover. At least that’s how I think Rick seen it
Hello 👋 Another awesome video, 👍👍 The start of another great season, 👍😀 I think Andrea could not have gotten luckier, 👍 My only ‘what the h***’ moment is why in the world did Hershel not check that Walker or walk around it more, there was absolutely no sane reason for him to step over it that close, especially this far into the apocalypse, without checking it to be sure it was double dead, 😏 Have a safe and wonderful week, 👋😀👋
I remember being annoyed at Lori because of some things she’s done up until this point! But I then started to feel sorry for her as you can tell she regrets things and wants to make up for it!

Hyped you guys are continuing with the series. It gets better and will be interesting to see how you both adapt 😝
She uses those 2 walkers as a camouflage around other walkers .
Fun Fact: What happened to Hershel is the same thing that happened to Dale in the comics.
The title of the episode Seed refers to when Hershel suggests that they plant seeds to grow tomatoes cucumbers and soy beans within the prison yards.
