Vintage Star Wars R2-D2 remote control Wabi-Sabi restoration - Toy Polloi

Sometimes a toy can't be fixed fully, but it cab be made to look good enough to display. And that was the case with this vintage Kenner Remote control R2-D2. He had really seen some serious action and was missing all the chrome, battery cover and the insides were a complete mess.
I knew I couldn't get him working again, but that I could get Artoo looking nice enough to display. So time to try out some new chrome paint for the dome, and scratch building the missing battery cover.
