For anybody looking to drive their cash back earnings up even further, I’d recommend checking out Rakuten. 🔥Rakuten Extra Cash Back (Free $30): rdguarantee.link/get-rakuten It's a completely free way to boost your earnings while doing the exact same online shopping that you would normally do. Setup is simple and you'll earn $30 free when you make your next $30 purchase.
Totally agree with using the Custom Cash for restaurant dining. I product changed a Double Cash to a CC to end up with 2 and I rotate them once we hit the monthly cap - works great. Btw, considering the Amex sign-up bonus and annual fee starting in year 2, it takes 10+ years for the AAA catch up on grocery spend...assuming you don't hit the 6k cap.
@@will4390 I've heard of people claiming as high as 3 but it's pretty common to have 2. Supposedly you need to wait at least 4 months to do a product change.
Gotta add the Ralph's Card in here for 5% back for any mobile wallet purchase (up to $3k/year) and also 3% cash back for gas, up to $6k/year. A lot of us single folks or even with 1 child would never spend these averages, but a lot of these cards you mentioned are great 4 sure!
HI RD, what is the best credit card for dining and have the best exchange rate for American living abroad ? I don’t know if you talk about this before. Thank you RD .
I was just looking into US Bank Shopper Cash. 6% back on a TON of retail stores (Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc) and you get to choose 2 per quarter. And on top of that, another 3% on your utility bill! Not unlimited, but hey…
free the first year, then $95/yr after. But you can always product change to another USB card with $0 fees that still give you 5% back on certain categories.
@@DisneyDadDollars I have Cash+ for 5% on Utilities and shopper cash is next on the list to get for the Walmart/Home Depot combo and 3% will be Costco

1. Capital one savior card. x3 Groceries 2. Capital one savior card. x3 Dinning 3. Capital one savior card. x3 Entertainment 4. Capital one venture x card. x10 hotels and rentals and x5 flights and vacations. 5. Wells Fargo Autograph card. x3 Gas 6. Wells Fargo BILT card. x1 rent 7. Capital one venture x card. x2 catch all card 8. *bonus* Wells Fargo Autograph card. x3 phone "includes cell phone too" This is my list to keep it simple. I don't rent personally so I don't even use number 6. So I just use a 3 card set up to keep things simple. This works best for me then to manage all these credit cards. I enjoyed your take though. Keep up the good work.
One more- Bank of America customized cash rewards. The “online shopping” category counts any transaction that goes through online as online shopping. It’s capped at 2500 a quarter, but that can knock out a whole bunch of stuff!
Haha I think you're right for most people. As I call out in the video, it was just an exercise for fun to see how high we could get the cash back rate to climb without taking on annual fees. At the end of the day it actually could work but to REALLY manage this, someone would probably have to label all their cards to avoid confusion and make sure they've got auto-pay on across the board. Headache for most, that's for sure.

I love that 2x custom cash strategy. Very powerful 👍🏼
How many custom cash cards can you end up with ?

I'm unfamiliar with the Ralph's card, I gotta check it out. Thanks for watching!
@TheRDGuarantee Kroger is the more known card, but Ralph's gives you cashback on gas too.
@TheRDGuarantee Most people mention the Kroger version of the card, but that one doesn't have the gas category
U.S Bank Cash+ for the utilities and one could also target for the other 5% category provided as part of the selection.

I only have two credit cards
Now that I use the Amex BCP
And capital one savor card
How long have you had the Amex BCP? Do you like it? I've looked at my spending and I spend the most at the grocery store.

Great video
For entertainment I probably switch to the Wells Fargo a tune card that gives you 4% on entertainment
Great option too. Thanks for watching!
The AAA also has 3% on wholsesale stores like costco and bjs sams club
Great call out - that's a high spend category for a lot people.

100%! In fact, that card may have a dedicated spot in my video coming out on Thursday 👀
1.5x for the win once again.
🥶
It might just work but with 7 banks and 7 different bank statements to deal with every month, it won't work.

Use autopay. And fidelity full view to track transactions. Not super hard.
It's not that hard, every paycheck you open your phone and pay each in full through the apps.
