Blossom laughed and said, "Alright, alright! Let me sing you a song about it.
Once upon a time, a man and his wife
Lived next to a witch, leading a simple life.
The wife loved the lettuces in the witch’s garden,
So the husband stole one, begging her pardon.
The witch appeared and said, "Hey you!
That’s my lettuce, what did you do?
Your wife will soon have a baby, it’s true,
And I’ll take her in exchange for the food."
The man, so scared, agreed with a nod,
Hoping to avoid the witch’s rod.
A little girl was born on a beautiful day,
Then the witch took her away without delay.
She kept the girl in a tower so tall,
Her hair grew long, the longest of all.
When the witch came over to stay,
She’d call, "Rapunzel, throw your hair my way."
The blonde hair fell, and up she’d climb,
To the tower so tall, every single time.
One day, a prince rode by,
He saw the tower and wondered why.
He watched the witch climb Rapunzel’s hair,
He planned to rescue the girl with care.
"Rapunzel, please let down your hair,"
He called when the witch wasn’t there.
They met in secret every day,
Until the witch found out and had her say.
The witch cut Rapunzel’s hair,
Rapunzel cried, but the witch didn’t care.
She sent her away into the woods so deep,
And caught the prince, making him weep.
She threw him from the tower so high,
He fell into thorns and was blinded, but didn’t die.
For a long time, he wandered, lost in despair,
Until one day, he heard a voice fair.
Rapunzel was singing, her voice like a bell,
Her tears touched his eyes and broke the spell.
"Oh look, I can see again!" he cried,
"Let’s marry and be King and Queen," she replied.
They married and ruled with joy and grace,
Living happily ever after, in their rightful place.
