I bought a Fitbit charge 5 about a year ago after having other smart watches for almost as long as they’ve been around. I’ve used an Apple Watch, Samsung gear s3, and even a moto 360. The thing the Fitbit does better than all of these other watches is stay out of my way. It’s made to be used as little as possible and has been a perfect fitness tracker that I don’t even have to think about. It gives me the time and some notifications, and other than that, just sits on my wrist and I love this. Other manufacturers should take note, I shouldn’t be texting and calculating and playing around with a crappy screen on my wrist.
My fitbit died and I was about to purchase a Garmin Vivoactive 5, but then I learned that most of the features aren't available in Canada. So now I'm torn cause I don't want to give fitbit anymore money, but I want to track my health since it's been a key part of my weightloss journey and seeing my heart rate go up helps notify what I'm doing is correct.
I've been using a fitbit sense for 2 years but it keeps getting stuck in boot loops randomly and has had various other issues. Plus it sucks needing a subscription to see a lot of additional metrics that it is still recording regardless. So I am going to try out the galaxy watch 6 classic and keep the fitbit around for the gym and as a backup.
As someone who has never had a smart watch and always bought iPhones. I decided to get an Ultra 2 this year. After having it for a month I can say these things are just a gimmick to spend more money. My life is no better with it and no worse without it.
Why would you go from having absolutely no smart watch to getting the most expensive, most over the top smartwatch in the market? That's like saying you've never had a car then going out and buying a Lamborghini Aventador as your first car.
I have the Venu 3 and the battery life is very good. The AMOLED screen and health tracking are also very good. My only complaints are the fact that integration with Android could be better and the lack of 3rd party apps.
@@toychristopher I'm not big into monitoring my sleep but it seems to be mostly accurate. There has been the odd time where I woke up briefly and then fall back asleep but the watch still counts me as having woken for good at the earlier time.
Well the Galaxy watch 6 was okay and I feel it wasn't the best heart rate monitor, but lately notifications stopped working, and when Samsung said to reset the watch, it no longer syncs with the phone so without initial setup to a phone you can't even view the time on the display and it's useless. I went in exchange my watch for a different Galaxy watch and I had the same issue. They have some type of update issue and I would not recommend buying that watch. Very expensive paperweight.
@@brucelin5842 I went into my phone and deleted the plug in and then reinstalled it and it solved the problem. The fact Samsung can't figure this out deters me from their products. I do think the watch is nice looking and have received a bunch of compliments but I can't elaborate on other watches so I can't give a good opinion on other watches... Sorry
Can you tell me which one works best with tattoos?! I have the Apple Watch and have both my arms tatted. It’s always pausing on me during my workout smh
I had no idea tattoos affect it until I seen this, my charge 6 won't work on my left tattooed wrist but swap in onto my right wrist with a gap in the tattoo it works fine, was about to take it back to the shop 😂
I don't think the apple watch or galaxy should be into the list. Because they are Apple only or galaxy only. Well, you could include them but not spend over 2 minutes of 6. Best will be . GARMIN, POLAR,.COROS, SUNTO even fitbit
I like my Samsung 6, but it needs to be charged every 2 days which is really a drag. If they could up the battery life to 5 days without increasing the size, then it would be perfect.
I want a good hybrid watch list. I like the look of analog watches and just want to know when I’m getting calls or texts so I can go grab my phone if I put it down. And maybe see the weather lol.
I have the galaxy watch 46mm. With rotating bezel. Older model but nothing compares to it. It's like newer smart watches get worse while smartphones get better.
Huawei GT4 is and excellent watch released this year although I'd prob recommend GT Pro 3 with titanium case and sapphire glass. The 14 days battery life amazing. OK Chinese might be tracking every step and heart beat but the smart watch just beautiful. Smart watches that lasts 1 or 2 days simply do not make sense in a modern world. BTW I own GT 2 Pro plus several analogue automatics. Especially useful on holiday as smart watches tend to overheat in direct sunlight with its mini OLED solar panel 😊
This might sound weird but hear me out. When it’s too bright to read something, position said item in a way that can be read. Obviously this doesn’t work if you spend all of your time on the surface of the sun.
@@JRTrillingso what? Wearing smartwatch for over 2 years and also keeps me motivated to see calories burned and so. Also you can gain badges for month challenges. Nothing wrong with a little boost in motivation 👍
I wear an Apple Watch Series 7, but as far as sleep tracking goes it’s pretty uncomfortable. I’ve been trying out different smart rings like the Oura and RingConn. I would love a review of those.
I completely disagree about the Pixel Watch 2 being one of the best looking and "elegant" smart watches available. I absolutely hate how "bubbly" and cheap the pixel watch 2 looks. Maybe the styling appeals more to women?
Beware Mobvoi and the Ticwatches. They promise support and fall flat on their face. Ticwatch Pro 3 was promised Wear OS 3.0 mid-2022, here we are at the end of 2023 and STILL no update. Go with the Pixel or Galaxy watch instead
All I want is a smartwatch without ANY health tracking useless crap. I don't care about my heart rate, I don't care about my sleep quality and I don't need a notification that tells me to stand up every couple hours. Just cut the crap and the price. Probably never happening unfortunately.
@@alicem2103 Yeah I'll duct tape a phone to my wrist that'll do it :) Smartwatches used to be smart watches btw, without any health tracking features. There is a market for this but companies are too busy copying each other so that's probably not going to happen.
