    That's a lot of steel for a bottle opener, you could make 5 from just 1 spike. And where do you get your railroad spikes?

      Trying to maintain the integrity of the visual aesthetic of the railroad spike. If I made 5 from one, I doubt they resemble a spike anymore. As for where I get them, I’ve been lucky enough to be placed in contact with the right people on the right places to be allowed access to these spikes. No spikes are ever “scrapped”, which is a big issue if they were to be. Thanks for asking, I appreciate the comment!

      Yea about that. What’s important is a consistent depth of cut, so that way the spike twists evenly with the same resistance throughout
