It would be cool to see a video with a side view of how the different notches affect the way a tree falls. The reasons for a flat bottom, flat top, shallow, deep and all that. Not necessarily a how-to but a why you use that cut. Thanks for sharing.
Just discovered your channel and subscribed immediately, great videos. I'm a beginner climber from the Netherlands myself. Great to see your work up close like this, I've still got much to learn. For now I'm restricted to pollarding trees, in which I get to climb into crowns max 5m (16') from the ground, before advancing to actual climbing. Stay safe!
Bro, you are sick!!!! Love the skill!!!! Love the videos!!!! I'm going to pull my head out of my ass and get a go pro and not copy your style cuz that's not me but showcase our skills man. I'm an arborist in ft Lauderdale and the trees are way different down here. Alot closer together not to mention hurricane Irma that just pounded us! Corey ... Thanks I needed this learning lesson, life lesson, and motivation...
On one of your videos you mentioned you were not good at school. COREY do you realize "physics" is part of everything you do. Your mind is like a machine . An artist too be sure. Really enjoy watching work. Thanks.
Corey you’re too hard on yourself. The chances of dropping a branch and turning it into a dart like that are astronomical. You made the kids happy they will always remember that.
Corey, you never film your setup, always just skip to the cutting. One time show your process climbing to the next branch and rigging and all at. Maybe just once.
Would like to, but I often have guys asking for things of that nature, and I'm not experienced or knowledgeable enough to think that anyone should use my videos as training. Maybe in the future, but I know and acknowledge that I've still much to learn myself, so for the time being these videos are just entertainment only.
Its a good thing that top stuck in the ground. It looked like it would have hit the fence if it laid down. Your doing great for the amount of time you have in!
Nice video, Human. Since you were allowed to watch twice, once on your people and then on the children who have watched the one mission and had a lot of fun. Continue accident-free work.
Hard for me to see on my lo-res phone, but, was there like, not anything that needed to be avoided on that cut where the limb stuck in the ground?? Baffled by your choices sometimes, about what to rig down, and what not to rig down....🤔🤔🤔
The trunk was cracked where he was tied in, and there was a cavity in the trunk a little lower, tying it off might have put enough pressure on the trunk to split it, no bueno when you're tied into the trunk that might explode.
Brian Kennedy there is always that feeling of impending doom. Almost like you expect him to mess something up. I absolutely love his passion and drive but I worry for his safety. Much respect for taking all the time to entertain us though. Super honest, humble, and a hell of a worker. But I still have that little bit deep down that doesn't take him seriously. Human please don't take any of what I said wrong. We were all there at one point.
6:56, along with many of your other videos....appears to be poison vines growing up the tree. Guessing you're not allergic? That S#%T puts me in the hospital.
Pretty damn good job on flopping logs.....they were landing perfect! Its a mathmatical equation to flop logs flat, & i must say....you sir, get an (A) on your report card😉
I actually just learned that, from facebook of all places! I've a fairly extensive tree book library, and in none of them had I come across that formula. Wish I'd have known about it much sooner, would have come in handy many times.
10:22 - Bad move, Dude. You can work that bucket, and keep a handle on that line, without having to clip it to yourself. Don't be Two-thirds Slick. As an aside, similar (more legitimate🙄) situations, are why it's good to have a nice sharp knife, readily at hand.
Samuel Luria yeah you never want to do that always have your ground guys tie Figure 8 in the end and send it up that way it'll never go through the pulley you can let it just sit there till your ready to use it
Samuel Luria he's using a carabiner so there's definitely no need for that the Carabiner is not going to go through that pulley if you don't want your carabiner hitting the pulley tie a knot above it
Alternatively, you can manage the length/weight/(resultant friction differential) just be being in the Zone, and I guess that takes experience....I roped for my mentor, who is 61, the other day, and two of his younger, "normal" ground guys kept micromanaging how much line I pulled back up to him in the bucket....they had no clue. that HE knew EXACTLY WHY I left the exact length of line that I did.... so that when his next piece, which was a free fall piece, dragged against the line, it would be just the right amount of friction to suck it slightly away from the bucket truck....but just short enough not to catch TOO long... anyways, I'm just babbling now...up this 90' Three-Needle Pine, trimming out big snow breaks..... PARADISE!!!! It's a real busy tree...lots of inculcated crown situation....takes my mind off my problems....at least for another hour or so....
Samuel Luria yeah that just like my buddy who taught me how to run a porter wrap for him many moons ago it's nice when you work with the same person for many years when you work that long together it definitely cuts down on the stress no need for yelling back and forth what to do all that crap maybe a hand signal here in there that's about it
So true..... then again, I have a different friend, who's kinda like my "dark side" mentor....he worked for me for many years, .. ..he's one of the legendary Climbers in Jersey...he's 58 now,....but when he ropes for me, I have to scream my bloody guts out!!!😂😂😂 Can't have everything, they say...😉 enjoy this day, Buddy,...I hope it's as beautiful a day where you are!
From a completely outside perspective, this guy seems like the absolute most narcissistic type of person. I can't imagine many humans enjoy working with this dude. He feels he is always right that he is a dominant man becuz he is coordinated, and in charge of many aspects of his own life. He prolly thinks himself as an absolute leader of men that he will always have the right opinion and his way is thee way in any situation.. even if it is something as simple as... Cutting down trees... With that being said, I do respect the man's willingness to share and teach and his ability to accept himself and his mistakes, and his ability to share what he believes he did wrong. His way to practice humility. Which everybody should practice.
In the beginning I believe I saw just the lanyard no secondary bad move brother very bad move instead of me talking about how you’re sore rips!! Or anything else the only thing I’m concentrating on in this video is that you did not in the beginning have a secondary lifeline bad move.
Human He speaks he speaks I can’t believe he speaks I asked you twice now to give me a call I want my phone to be ringing in the next 20 minutes if you see this we have a many Laughs ahead of us🆒❔❔❔❔

"'Now we have another tree'' lol your awesome

What do you have against the 362?? One of my all-time favorite saws. At least the originals. Can't speak for the new model.
Nothing...
The 2" sapling might tho!
Unworthy are my favorite because they are all worthy
Great job Corey. Great video as usual.. keep the content comeing my friend
Corey you’re too hard on yourself. The chances of dropping a branch and turning it into a dart like that are astronomical. You made the kids happy they will always remember that.
I love the tree lawn dart action.
Corey, you never film your setup, always just skip to the cutting. One time show your process climbing to the next branch and rigging and all at. Maybe just once.

Human - I ask that purely for entertainment value. I am not a tree guy. But I work with dead tree carcasses everyday.
shawnhuk that's the most metal thing ive heard all day
the other guys tree service - technically the most WOOD thing you've heard all day... (Pssst, I'm a carpenter..)
shawnhuk I've been in arborist class all day. Who ever knew you could get an over Dose on wood. I take my test in a couple days.
With the tree at 9:00 when do you decide to use the bucket truck versus climb it? Great vids human!
I generally just do whatever the boss says.
why does no one south of the Mason Dixon line has a winch on their chipper?
Thanks for the content friend, please keep them coming.
Fan of the back to back tree slaughtering 😂 good one human!
I love the kid enthusiasm! 👍🏼❤️👏🏼
@2:03 Good fall brother
Thanks =) Rigging that up was pretty tricky, glad it went smoothly, lol
@@Human1337 easy 1200 dollar job there, your certified to cut stuff that large?
Coree were you making your snap cut with the top then bottom or bottom then top? Couldn't really tell you only made a few
That new husky sounds good. You like it ?
I do
Its a good thing that top stuck in the ground. It looked like it would have hit the fence if it laid down. Your doing great for the amount of time you have in!
5:12 that looks like poison oak oar sumac on the trunk ...😞
Nice video, Human.
Since you were allowed to watch twice, once on your people and then on the children who have watched the one mission and had a lot of fun.
Continue accident-free work.
Man i wanna do this. Been driving excavators since 06 and tired of it.
Hard for me to see on my lo-res phone, but, was there like, not anything that needed to be avoided on that cut where the limb stuck in the ground?? Baffled by your choices sometimes, about what to rig down, and what not to rig down....🤔🤔🤔

Brian Kennedy - It must be...😉
If you don't like it, don't watch it.

Samuel & Brian: I can't find your videos, where you show us all the proper way to do this work.
is that climbing saw an ms 200t
Have you ever accidentally cut through a rope? The trees look happy after you cut them! 😄
Jesus IsGod yes he has.
Awesome video! Keep up the good work!
You are the most nimble big guy I've ever seen!
That 562 rips!!
"That was SWEEEET" lol
Be carful of letting the tree peel like that. It’s what got me with my buckstrap still around it
Are those company chainsaws or yours. Super sweet chainsaws.
Bit of both, the black painted stihls are my personal saws.
Why have you switched to an angle cut first? And how do you adjust your direction?
All just depends on the tree
Just imagine the roblox oof sound every time a branch hits the ground.
6:56, along with many of your other videos....appears to be poison vines growing up the tree. Guessing you're not allergic? That S#%T puts me in the hospital.
I felt like I was watching chainsaw simulator.
Made my evening nice
What model is that Husqvarna? Nodded, ported or stock?

Please do a video on this. I'd love to know this equation/technique.
How’s the 562 compare to 362
I like them both, can't really pick one over the other, maybe once I've run the 562 a bit longer I'll be able to say, but can't at the moment.
Looking good.
Looking good, except 1 critical error, need to run a 355t.
Should i start doing this?
