I noticed that you don't have any ventilation in your roof? Usually I've seen plastic provents laid down first and then the insulation, combined with exterior soffits to allow fresh air in. Won't you have a lot of moisture and mold issues in the future like this? Or maybe spray foam is the way to go in an A-Frame so you get the air sealing and vapor sealing? I'm sure it will all be fine just throwing out some information from rabbit holes I've gone down lol

Yes it is a bit confusing but this house is built verrryy different than the way North American homes are typically built. The layers of the home are kind of swapped but the roof is completely vented from the bottom to the top. In two weeks on the Avrame channel we're going to talk about the layers of the home so this will be clarified then.

I’m curious - why the choice to use OSB instead of Sheetrock? Love the build btw!

We will add drywall a bit later! We still don’t have the vapour barrier on - this actually goes on top of the OSB. Then the interior finishing (drywall or t&g) goes on top of that. The layers are backwards from standard construction in North America but this makes our roof completely vented. It seems others are curious about this too so I’ll explain the layers in next week’s video.
