Guys I'm sorry but you didn't really show us much of the install. Maybe next time bring a flashlight and camera under the car or into the engine bay cause without that the video is more of a vlog and less of an instructional installation video.
first time viewer, enjoyed the video! I'm looking into putting an ARM downpipe on my mk7 and im a little worried its going to be a little to loud. currently have a borla catback, s&b intake, turbo muffler delete + other bolt ons. no fmic with a stock downpipe and tune. (Cobb port is on the way tho!! soo stoked.) anyway, it sounds really nice and clean currently but id like it to sound a little more aggressive and "throaty" which is what pointed me to downpipe. is this Down pipe still being ran on this mk7.5 and does he still like the outcome of the noise change? Also, I really wish y'all had shown the actual install of the downpipe as far as how you guys got in in the car and mounted to the turbo. That's really what i was looking for when researching this but i ended up staying for the whole video and did learn quite a bit. Do you Recommend any specific guides or tutorials you guys use or suggest?
Currently still running the exhaust and loves the outcome of the noise change! The actual installation part is pretty straightforward. We have an older video on our channel installing a CTS downpipe on our Mk7 GTI which can be replicated with the ARM downpipe. Let us know if you have any other questions and we'll try our best to help!
It sounds like there might be another problem going on here. A downpipe would cause a check engine light, but not make you lose power. Did you double check that all bolts and pieces were tightened and connected properly?
I got an arm catted down pipe. My light came on within 6 hrs with the spacer. No tune. With in 3 to 4 days it went off by itself. I have a 2018 GTI manual. It’s been running great and no check engine light. Got this done right before Christmas 2022
@@thomassabol4565 has this been working still? I’m looking at grabbing everything from them that you mentioned and I was hoping it works. Edit: as in no CEL, haha thanks in advance!
I'm sorry but this video is actually terrible, and its the recommended installation guide from ARMs website? Half the installation you cant even see because its so dark, and honestly terrible angles while actually installing the part. If you wanna record with a high quality camera, have high quality lighting. I would rather have watched you record it with your phone.
Good job guys! I want one of these with my soon to be EQT stage 2 93 tune.

Great video! The car sounds good, would be cool to hear the difference between the 3 GTI’s (Mk6, Mk7, Mk7.5)

Hey man, how much did you have to back the o2 sensor spacer out? I have the same DP setup and mines throwing codes.
I installed the same one catted Arm and now I have the check engine light and lost power. How do I get that light off? I'm stage 2 with cobb.
By the way i have a gti mk7

Nice sound.👍
If I put a catless downpipe in, I shouldn't get an engine checklight, right?
You most likely will. This can be easily fixed by either tuning the vehicle, or installing an O2 sensor spacer on the downpipe's O2 sensor port.

Will this fit 2015 TDI MK7 Golf?
Unfortunately not, this downpipe is only compatible with Mk7 GTI’s (the 2.0T engine)
I want a exhaust
One of the best things you can do with these cars!
