    I have always found Halloween III Season of the Witch a Gem I guess because I never associated it with the other films it is a story of its own and a great one at that would love to have known more about Conal Cochran in the film he was such a great villain this film is just one of my all time favorites and this filming location is just crumbling away. Thank you for sharing. R.I.P to Garn Stephens who passed away last year she played Marge Guttman.

    Great real world location, the ambience of this town is off the charts. The desolate quality is still there; it's steeped in every crevice, that place is just billows malevolence. Can't get that grubby quality from dead green screen and CGI studio effects.

    I, like you first watched Halloween 3 when i was in my mid (ish) teens and stopped it at the hospital, however 20 years on, it has grown on me, you are very lucky to be able to visit these places. 👍

      Thanks for watching. It will be strange to visit Loleta now with most of the factory gone.

    cool video and info, enjoyed the skits too 🙂
    Challis would be happy, he needed that drink
    I need to drive up there one day and do a tour
    I heard they are selling souvenir bricks from that old factory now - sadly it will be gone eventually

    Amazing video thanks for sharing. I have been reliably told that the phone booth opposite the Gilded Rose tavern was a movie prop for the film and was removed after filming. Also the ALLEYWAY that has a gate across it you mention a wall or structure I believe that is a parked up freight train carriage. If you look carefully in your still image to the right of the man you can see underneath it

      Thanks for the info, I'll look at it again, but it makes sense as there was the railroad tracks right there.
      The phone booth was actually there. Not sure if it was the same one, but there is one in Sean Clark's Horror's Hallowed Grounds video in that spot from the mid 90s.

    great video. I visited all the filming locations for H3 In summer 2022, including Sierra Madre but did not make it up to Loleta on that vacation. FF The bar in Sierra Madre (the buccaneer) was actually one space down in 1982. H3 is actually number 2 on my list of fav movies I can't get enough of it. That jingle is nostalgic as hell. Wasn't old enough to see an R rated movie in 1982 but loved it on HBO. Loeta CA is on my bucket list, better hurry before it's all gone right. If anyone likes Silver Bullet, the filming locations in Wilmington and Burgaw NC are worth the trip. The lake is a little sketchy thou so be safe lol.

      The Buccaneer is the one location that I have never made it to, even while in Sierra Madre.
      Yeah, if you are planning on ever seeing the factory in person I would say it probably has a year or two at the most, depending on earthquakes and magnitudes of them. The faults up North have been rather active over the last few years.

    I’m curious, is the whole area around the factory fenced in?

    • @mikescollectiblechannel
      @mikescollectiblechannel  11 месяцев назад

      The short answer is yes. Prior to the earthquake in 2022, there was no fence in the front running along the street. You could actually walk up to it, and if a window was open, you could get inside. But the windows have since been boarded. But yes, there is a fence that runs along the entire factory that makes it inaccessible.
