The soundtrack to Halloween III was epic. It was like a mix of horror and "Escape from New York".
John Carpenter is the master!
The music from H3 was pretty much written at the same time as Christine which has a VERY similar soundtrack by Alan Howarth and John Carpenter.
@@Buck3366 it is just amazing how the music can take a movie to the next level.
Yesss 🎯 💯 👏
I listen to it on a daily basis while I work (along with H2018 and POD).
Awesome flick that gets way too much hate. Tom Atkins is the BOSS.
Well said, TOP film.
It’s getting more popular. HHN maze this year, H3 masks in the new movie. People are finally figuring out that it rocks almost 40 years later.
I think it's an underrated movie. But it gets hate bc it shouldn't be in the Halloween franchise. I know at the time, they were going in another direction w the franchise.
Update: DAMN, looks like the HHN maze was just a rumor, and it was a Halloween 4 maze after all.
Love Tom Atkins, he's great in the Fog also.
It is truly sad that we are loosing so many historical horror landmarks. Movies we grew up watching and it’s eroding away or being torn down for mall’s and Starbucks. Wish we could go back just for a short time to relive GEN X glory days.
The reality is - a lot of these locations were around for decades without much attention. RUclips and social
Media have regenerated a lot of the nostalgia for locations in general
I think that one of your greatest pieces of magic is what we don’t see on camera: the research, the talking to neighbors, owners, and other invested people to collect information and obtain permission for visitation, etc. for the 20 minutes we see on screen, there has to be a ridiculous amount of hours invested in research, production, post production, travel, etc. Thank you for this herculean effort and allowing us to live vicariously through your work.
Lots of folks dislike this movie, but it was always my favorite out of the lot!
This film is Iconic!! Tom Atkins is an absolute HORROR actor!!
Indeed. I also remember him from Night of the Creeps.
Totally agree!
Just on research, this channel is so underrated. I guess there are fewer horror fans left nowadays. Great video.
Well horror has fell off . So the new generation has no clue to the old goodies. Nothing like a classic .
check out the other videos on this channel . You will NOT be disapointed AT ALL .
@@bruins3890 "The new generation has no idea of the old classics." No...
MY FAVORITE MOVIE FROM THE SERIES ALMOST I loves the mask in the movie the detail the music. The vibes I try to watch this every year Halloween
Me too, it's one of my favorites 🎃🎃🎃🎃
This is my favourite Halloween film, I’ve been watching this religiously now for over ten years at Halloween, it’s now a rite of passage in my house 😊
Halloween 3 is IMO one of the best horror films of all times. Absolutely love it.
One of my fave horror films. The woman in the motel who has a ‘mis-fire’ with a mask badge always sticks in my mind. Great video!!
One of mine too! A classic!♥️🐈⬛🧹🎃🎃🐅🎃
that was tom Atkins wife at the time, no joke.
@@joanna7350 never knew that. Thanks
Yes!! That scene terrified me as a child. And when the family tours the factory and they put them in that fake living room with the t.v. Super underrated movie.
Oh man that seen 😳
I saw this back in 83 and the scene with the family locked in the test room was gory to the max...especially for it's time.
Cochran’s speech was iconic for me. Being Irish in ireland, he hits the nail on the head to what Samhain is all about.
He pronounces it correctly as SOWEN too unlike Donald Plesance who would should SAM HAIN as Dr Loomis 🤣
One of the best villain .
What THE FREEMASONS are all about !
One of the things I love about this movie is the music
It’s catch as heckins…sticks in your head
I totally agree plus the was awesome without having Michael Myers
I gotta ask do you guys think they will do a Beetlejuice two me personally I hope so I love Beetlejuice the movie and animated series
@@grimmlifecollective I never liked this movie when I was young. I was shocked to see a review on it. It’s probably worth a revisit. I recently watched Revenge of the Ninja. That movie is cheesy and badass! Good time. We grew up in the same era. I appreciate people that understand what I understand. Godspeed :)
HALLOWEEN III WAS THE BEST HALLOWEEN MOVIE EVER! IT STANDS ON ITS OWN. WISH THEY WOULD'VE MADE MORE HALLOWEEN MOVIES LIKE THIS ONE. ONE FOR EACH YEAR IN OCTOBER WOULD'VE BEEN AWESOME.
That’s so cool! We just got to meet Tommy Lee Wallace last weekend at Sinister Creature Con, and he was wonderful.
I met Tommy Lee here in Louisville, KY (he's originally from Bowling Green) several years ago. He's a cool dude!!
TLW seems so down to earth and imo kicked ass directing this nice little gem of a movie that has a growing following! You guys are so lucky to have met him!
@@gilbertrios5283 people never gave this movie a chance because of the title.
@@joanna7350 I couldn't agree more although over the years more n more are discovering this nice little horror flick!
With him doing all the voice over work on the Shamrock commercials I’d have had to ask him to do a line from the movie. His voice was really great!! It’s time it’s time…..
I don't care what anyone says. I love this movie. These locations are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. Happy Halloween!
Saw all of these in my small town movie theater as A young kid. Theater was closed down in 1998. Great memories.
This is probably one of your best film locations. Knowing it's an abandon location makes it creepy. Great JOB!!
This film was so underrated when it first came out,so was the Fog funny because they are my favourite movies.Just discovered your awesome channel thanks both.
This is my favorite Halloween movie! Many Halloween movie fans hate this one because it's a departure from the usual canon, which is probably why I like it. I never really got into the whole Michael Myers story. And you gotta love Dan O'Herlihy as the creepy and evil Cochran! Stacey Nelkin is pretty good eye candy too!
I love how you guys take the time to line up the shots, as well as compare & contrast. Its great to see these 80's horror movie locations. Very much appreciated.
The car they drive is a “1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme”, my neighbor had the exact car, color and all. I was 11 when this movie came out. Great video of a great classic horror movie that no one talked about enough.
this movie doesn't get the appreciation it deserves! This is a really good and creepy film!
I also like how your creative and experiment on other movie that may have not been as popular as the others the most off budget are some of my favorites.
The Silver Shamrock factory & the Hotel were filmed in Loleta, Ca. It’s up near Eureka, Ca. I was there 2 days ago visiting my GF family. I was so hyped to visit these lactations when I found out just months ago that the movie was filmed in Loleta. And yes, the Silver Shamrock building is still standing. I couldn’t believe I was visiting these actual locations. I’ve been a fan of this movie since I was a kid.
Been waiting for this one!! One of my favorite movies of all time.i found the steelbook in mint condition at FYE on sale for $17.00 recently
I'm a big synthwave fan, so totally feeling that 80s soundtrack!
One of the most underrated movies in my book. Thank you guys for this !!!!
This is a masterpiece of work you have done here Michael and this movie has aged very very well. Thank you!!!
I absolutely love Halloween 3 Season of the Witch! 😁
This is my favorite of the Halloween series. Glad you did this one. I wish they had stuck with different stories for the other Halloween movies. Great job!
Very underrated movie. Great story. It was so surprising when it came out and probably the most unique "sequel" to any movie ever.
Such an underrated piece of SciFi gold. I've seen this movie literally 200 times or more!!!
I remember everybody getting mad that part 3 had nothing to do with Michael Myers!! Happy , happy Halloween ....Silver Shamrock!🎃🎃🎃🎃
I just hate that the song is an ear worm that haunts your memory for all time.
@@jacquig1939 lol 😂
U bring my inner child out of me I love how u do it with a video amazing I love the 70s 80s and 90s being 36 I seen every horror film and just films in all I love so ur channel is right up my street
One of my favorite Halloween movies...doesn't get the love that it deserves... :)
I absolutely LOVE your channel. You and Jessica are my people. This heat and sunshine has me grouchy & y’all make my inner spooky kid SO HAPPY!
🎃🕷👻🖤
Just wanted to say, you guys do such a great job on the channel. No fluff, no bs, just real enjoyable content that takes real work to show. Thanks for it.
Halloween III remains, to this day, a very underrated movie. I can understand people expecting Michael back in '82, then being disappointed or just plain confused. However, today people seem to still hold that against this movie. I first saw it decades ago, when I rented it on VHS, with very little knowledge about it other than the fact that it was unrelated to the other films. I enjoyed it a lot and wondered for years if I was the only person who liked it. I have the novelization for this one as well as an original theatrical poster for it, which I need to get framed so I can hang it up. Great movie, great music. Love the atmosphere of the film, too. There is that weird paranoia once they get to Santa Mira, where it seems somebody is always watching them. Excellent stuff and it remains extremely rewatchable. A top 5 choice of movies to watch for Halloween, in my opinion.
I always liked this film as well
Obviously the music helps massively but I think this actually FEELS more like a John Carpenter film than even the first Halloween film does. Has a similar vibe to The Fog, IMO.
Don't forget Christine also!
A real shame that the people cried about it not having Myers in it...or Carpenter would have given us BETTER movies with different stories every Halloween as Halloween was intended by him to be originally...It was as he stated , Myers was just the FIRST story...
@@demonoid7469 It would have been interesting to have had the original Halloween as a stand-alone film, without the second one (as much as I like Halloween II). Maybe it would have been a better ending to the Michael Myers story to just have him vanish at the end and no one ever knew what happened. Though I also understand that most people like satisfying conclusions.
@@kevindurcan7072 My cousin and I were pretty young when we watched this movie one night and so scared we
We were LOL.
I loved this so much I watched it again. The final processing room was a trip as well as the whole Silver Shamrock building. It all looks so different now, but your shots certainly line up. I can't believe I was 16 years old when this movie came out. Time flies. Great movie by the way despite all the haters.
I use the Silver Shamrock song from Halloween 3 as an actual countdown toward Halloween, awesome video as usual.
I find myself doing that too! Ya gotta admit it's an awfully catchy jingle!
@@centuryrox it is catchy and did you know it’s taken directly from the song “London Bridge Is Falling Down”?
You guys cover every movie I like...lots of nostalgia biscuits too..
Worst thing about Halloween 3 is that it ends.
Love this one!
It made it feel extra special for me the Irish connection this movie has as when I met Tom Atkins a few years ago he
Told me he visited Ireland once.
You did an amazing job filming this and matching the shots up keep up the good work
Been watching this movie since I was a kid. Owned it on VHS, DVD, and now streaming. In fact, was watching it now and wondered if anyone had gone to the filming locations. To my surprise this video was posted a few weeks ago. Thanks so much! This was awesome!
When i watched this film back in 1982, my theory was perhaps the message being sent with Halloween 3 was that maybe Michael Myers was actually a serial killer "ROBOT" & that's why he was hard to kill in the first 2 films. This film was the explanation.
Research MKultra trained kids. CIA.Serial killers .In later years: mass shooters ,triggered by signals via phone, etc. Trauma based mind control.
My favorite of the halloween movies. This one really puts the spirit of halloween on me.
Casting amazing acting amazing music chilling and what makes it so so superior to any other horror film I’ve ever seen is it’s very very scary . Such a masterpiece
nice work lining up shots & locations. u Grimms rock
Hell, I'm 48 now and been a HORROR fan since my early year's, and continue to watch and appreciate this MASTERPIECE!! THANK YOU GUYS!!🎃👻🎥🔪😈👺💀
Tom is 85 now, amazing! I have enjoyed watching him since I was a teen so much fun!!
Good flick, i have it on dvd and once in a while I watch it again, especially for the locations where it was shot.
Thank you for going to the exact locations. It's awkward how, after 40 years, I can still feel the creepiness of the places where Halloween 3 was shot.
I literally gasped and sat bolt upright when I got this notification! Huzzah! 🎃
Also - and I say this with _all due respect_ - *_Halloween III: Season of the Witch_* has the best score of the entire *_Halloween_* series. Magnificent.
Thank you SO MUCH for this one!
Boo 👻. You are welcome. Hope you enjoy
@@grimmlifecollective The ratio of chills to location shots is off the charts so far!
As of late Dec 2021, it looks as though the old factory has been damaged by an earthquake. Glad you got to capture it in such high fidelity. It mostly will be torn down soon.
Oh man, I’ve been waiting for this one. Cannot wait!!
Amazing how fast mother nature will reclaim what's hers...
Amazing job, some times we don't realize the amount of effort and time that's behind this videos! Thx for bringing back the good memories !
9.47 that is a good selection of Champagne actually.
Thank you so much for taking me on this adventure with you. It's one of my top 10 horror movies. Keep up the great work you and your wife do.
We filmed the interior Silver Shamrock factory scenes at Don Post Studios on Lankershim in North Hollywood.
Another horror classic seen at an early age at the time of its release that terrified me. I enjoyed everything about this video. And going to the factory and showing where some of the scenes were shot was just icing on the cake. Truly a remarkable job guys. 👍
H3 is so underrated, never should've been part of the Halloween franchise as it definitely hurt it.
Great video 👍
Such a great movie. Such an underrated, and underappreciated movie. One of my all time favorites. Well done Grimmlife. You never disappoint.
This surprises me the last time I’ve seen this movie, it’s been a couple years. Love it grimms
Cool, loved this movie as a kid. I know some don't consider it a legitimate part of the Halloween franchise but it still is special in it's own little way.
That's cool the building for the gas station is still there looks like it did awesome
His desperate pleads to switch off the broadcast on the third channel is very chilling, very good actor.
I' m glad this movie is finally getting the love and respect it deserves, especially after years of hate from people who 'missed seeing Micheal'!
Absolutely love this film and Dan O'Herlihy is brilliant in his part 🎃
I visited the bar recently, Deb was the bartender and was very nice about it all. She told me that the bar itself and murals are the same from the movie. I did check out the original location which is now a bottle shop and the guy told me the same thing he told you lol.
I absolutely LOVE your channel. Such great work! I have never seen better research or quality footage!
Watched this 2 days ago and that damn song is still in my head.
The footage you captured of the abandoned factory reminded me so much of the ending of “French Connection” when Popeye Doyle is wandering through the old sanitarium.
One of my fav movie in the HALLOWEEN movies. I love all 3 masks in this movie. I always wanted the pumpkin one.
This is my favorite video on your channel guys. Absolutely mind blowing stuff. The research is incredible!
May not be the best Halloween film but it's probably my favourite to watch at this point.
Ah fuck it, I'm going all out... It's the best Halloween. The music, the cinematography, the locations, Tom Atkins - what's not to love?
Definitely very high re-watchability (or, in the spirit of the movie, I should say re-witchability.
I've grown more fond of H3 over the last 10 years. Planning a trip to see Loleta and Ferndale soon. Salems Lot terrified me as a kid.
I love your attention to detail...You spend the time so we see all your details.....the best
Thank you, really glad you liked the adventure
Awesome! My favorite of the series thanks for this can’t wait for Halloween! Your channel and Graveyard Carz get me fired up!
I love this movie and consider it one of the better Halloween movies. Happy Halloween! 🎃
Happy Halloween lisa
Watching these movies back in the early 80s I was never fond of part 3 But over the years I’ve really come to love this film It’s definitely become a cult classic. And the one I now watch most regularly. You did an incredible job matching up the scenes I admire all your work and dedication. Thank you 🇬🇧
It’s time. Time for the big giveaway. Halloween has come!
An underrated classic that deserves more appreciation.
2:21 To the right, a 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T, one of my favorite muscle cars. I was pleasantly surprised of how good that movie was, without Michael Myers. I would have called it something different, but really, great horror movie.
Hi Michael and Jessica! Even after 40 yrs there is still quite a bit if the shooting locations still standing. Halloween IIII is one of those movies I watch when I happen to come across it on the web.....It's a fun movie to see every few years or so. Thanks for the tour.....Have a good day!
Happened to be watching Halloween 3 this evening and noticed the days/dates in the film line up with this year's calendar. I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about.
Grimm for Life!
Oh how I would love to visit these locations. Always been a fan of this movie so its awesome to see how the areas look today.
Great video 🎃
This film is such an underated classic so often overlooked. Thank you for giving it your attention. Loved the content. Keep up the good work guys.
Thx for the flashing flight warning.
I'm so grateful to you for all that you do. Your work is amazing...my boyfriend Steve and I loved this movie....he passed away 5 months ago and watching this tears my heart apart. I wish he could see this :( God bless you.
Catching up on all your GrimmLife videos! We love you guys. I am blown away that the majority of these places were there!!! After all this time!
Fantastic you guys did it! I'm 54 and actually saw this when it was first released at my local cinema in Manchester 🇬🇧.
At the time like many I was utterly confused at the absence of Michael and kind of hated the film for a few years before slowly but surely falling in love with it... It now ranks as actually my fave Halloween movie even though strictly speaking it's not a true JC film.... Thanks so much for this... You guys Rule
I watched on video back in the day. No Michael Myers!
I am 54 as well. I always loved this movie.I didn't care that Mike Myers was not in it. It has it's own creepiness without his character. .love it!
@@intertubicular I remember going to see the film and on the poster outside the cinema it said in very small writing "All New" which obviously was a clue to the new story! I was only 15 and lacked the sophistication to appreciate the film for what it was. I have always been a huge Carpenter fan and even though Season wasn't a fully fledged JC movie it has all his tropes! Massive atmosphere to rival the: The Fog, They Live and the first Halloween! It's worth getting the collectors edition for the brilliant audio commentary too
Hi dark poet fellow brit here I'm 52 and so love halloween films to especially this one 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
@@fayecox9401 You have great taste :)
You really do the best job on lining up the photo in the films. Great job Michael 💀
Tom Atkins is such a great actor.
I have to thank and praise you for your “flashing lights” warning ! They effect people who are epilitic, ms, suffer from migraine and a number of other things. I have been saying for 20 years that there should be warnings. You are the first I’ve seen. I hope others will follow suit. Thanks again.
That Phoenix Arizona nighttime trick or treating scene is such an iconic memorable scene and captured the essence of that October 31 eventful day in which we all have experienced in our youth.
I remember they used that scene for the trailer of this movie and I think it fooled a lot of people thinking that the storyline had the infamous Michael Myers stalking about.🎃
Thank you from England UK. Great video. Always loved the film and the great Tom Atkins
