Hi, I have seen a similar bead rack in a chinese website, and would like to know at which temperature do you fired your spoon? Does this rack work at 1280°C?
    Thank for your help!

I fired it at cone 6 and it was fine for the first two firing but one of the rods broke afterwards. I think it could be that the spoons were too heavy. I think it was meant for firing small beads

What kind of glaze is it that doesn’t drip or run?

It’s Amaco’s celadon line. The Colors are sky, wasabi, and cherry blossom

Do you need very rigid high fire wires? My spoons are not heavy at all

It depends on the weight. If the wire is too thin, it could break due to weight. I have since switched to thicker wire so they don't bend as much and more durable. Look for thicker gauge kathal wire

Couldn’t you just hang the chimes like the spoons?

I could hang them but the chimes are long so I need some very tall kiln posts to support the bead rack.

Did the chimes stay secure on those posts during the fire? I would be worried that they would roll off.
