  • Attempting to take down four trees with a single placement of the DinoLift, made for some challenging cuts as the lift was under one of the trees. The benefit was not having to move brush out of the way to reset the lift. This makes for good practice for those times when there is no choice, but the place the lift under the tree. Hopefully there are some good takeaways, please like and subscribe and don’t forget to visit https://www.gameoftrees.com where all of your purchases help support our canopy research project in Guatemala. hammsarborcare...

What’s your take on a small 25-35 ton stick boom crane for removals for smaller tree companies? I’m thinking of buying one as a way to get wood to the ground easiest on the body but you don’t seem to use them often

Early on I chose to master rigging techniques because, in my area, there are more trees out of reach of cranes than there are trees that cranes can reach. Consequently, I have gotten referrals over the years from other companies that cannot do what we can do. On the other hand, Reon Rounds, one of those companies in my area has three different types of cranes and finds a way to do it. Just remember, the crane doesn’t get you work, it completes work. If you buy the crane before you have the work, understand what kind of gamble that is. You can do it and win but you better be prepared to work. “Easy” won’t be how you describe the experience. There’s my best advice. I have not yet purchased a crane because I can’t rent one at will and send it home with no further expenses. I haven’t had to rent one enough to make a purchase make sense.

Enjoyed the video.....a little. When you're riding the bucket you are kinda boring. Videos of you climbing, moving about in the tree are much more entertaining. Butr, sometimes those dead trees require a bucket to avoid possible climber injuries. So, bucket it is. Plus you're getting pretty old to be climbing trees😆😆.
