Thank you, the topic covered was not what I was looking for, but nice to see some non standard use of file managers on linux.
I am looking for a file manager who allows scripting and adding of custom buttons and menus to the GUI to easily add custom functionality (like "resize selected images" e.g.). Do you know a file manager on Linux that can do this? I am using "Directory Opus" on Windows, it has all the features you can dream of. Unfortunately something similar does not seem to exist on Linux, which makes my Linux life really hard! o) Thank you!

@@rahrah_studios Ok, thank you! o) It's kind of weird, the Linux user base always makes the impression of "professional" at some level, but no community seems to have joined yet, to create a fully featured file manager. A file manager for "Jeff", a user which the Dolphin (KDE) file manager people invented, and who is explained in the documentation of Dolphin. They say "Jeff" is a Linux nerd for 30 years and uses multiple monitors and applications at the same time. Dolphin is not made for "Jeff" they say.. he is "too professional"! o) Ok, so my search goes on for the "Jeff" file manager I guess. Thanks again! o)
