Bat country is a song where the drums are perfect as is. And people who tend to put almost too much effort into doing a cover, it's not really a cover. But Cobus does it with style and it's perfect. Amazing.

Dude Cobus.... As a drummer of over 50 years experience you are stellar!! Of course for me there was a many decade period where I played very little drums to raise a family. But you'll find when you reach my age [65] the desire to play drums NEVER leaves you. This year I hope to put up my kit since our sons have left to start their own family. I know I'll suck but the desire and joy will still be intact. The best to you and your future for drumming.

Hey dude, know I commented earlier but I watched this a few more times today and just wanted to give you a heartfelt review: To start, great choice of a song to do with this - it has distinctly different sections with different styles of drumming throughout. With that being said, I'm just a hobby drummer (and severe enthusiast of this type of rock music) who REALLY appreciates what you did here. You have a very unique style of play that isn't often seen amongst drummers. You combine a really intensely precise, yet natural flow of drumming throughout the whole song...it's really so much fun to watch because of your style in and of itself. The crisp and sharp fills and transitions are particularly impressive - it's always fun to drum in the car (and to have my wife tell me that I'm going to hit her in the face by mistake while rolling down the toms and landing on that 4th beat crash/bass combo) and you have such a constant, animated show that you put on visually...it's like you're jamming in the car, but you have the whole set in front of you - and that's a real treat to watch That leads to the last bit - you make such efficient use of any and all available air time with your own riffs and fills. Each and every limb is ALWAYS busy...they are always being used to the most of their potential. There's a lot of creativity behind all of that, and for some drummers it takes a lot of practice to nail all of those ideas....and there are others who can do that on the fly, and each time they play the song, there will be different sounds and fills. Regardless of how you make those fills, there's a huge talent there (in either case) that deserves appreciation...and I, sir, appreciate the SHIT out of this drum cover. I agree. Avenged is still great but just not the same anymore. Brooks is an amazing drummer but i really dont think he matches avenged's style

Tbh I just wanna see him play more A7x songs in general, but specifically Save Me, because as a fellow drummer I like his style, and he has some nice grooves and fills that he throws in, the man's just full of surprises 😁😁
