As far as villains I'd like to see, you gotta have Dr. Doom but they seem to be sticking with characters related to the MCU for those marketing synergies. The Mandarin from the comics with his ten different power rings could be fun.
Ah, had a feeling they were going to end the teases. I have a feeling there’s still more planned, at least as long as more Marvel movies are coming out (the Daredevil TV show next year has me thinking Kingpin might come soon!) Kang looks like the most fun out of any Villainous character, so hype to try him.
Doc ock reminds me a lot of Pete from the original Villainous, but even more challenging cuz the schemes are cards in your hand rather than just tiles on your board

Omg, I would be so sad of there was no more Marvel Villainous, is by far the best one and there are so many villains! I would love to see Dormammu, Magneto, Namor, Kingpin and The lizard.
Great channel! Thanks for all your overviews. I think Magneto is a must have villain sometime down the line, especially with all the mutant teases we've been getting recently in various Marvel properties.
This is very exciting! I'm still loving Villainous, trying really hard to teach it to my friends to get it to the table more. It's really hard to bring out Marvel for people who haven't played any of them yet. I would LOVE to see Green Goblin brought it, but I think it's more realistic to hope for Red Hulk or Sentry (based on upcoming MCU releases).
Marvel will definitely have a smaller audience than those who saw or vaguely know the stories of all the classic Disney villains - and with that lineup so big, they’re bound to find one they like. I hope people continue to enjoy Marvel Villainous! Those are great picks - we’ll see what comes next!!

Hey there! Kang has 4 copies of 4 variants. You know they’re coming when they’re in your deck, but you can’t do anything about it. You have to draw to complete your own missions, and when it’s drawn or revealed it is immediately played. Even Kang’s deck you can tell because the cards have a darker back.

I know, right? If they did, I'd love to see Magneto (naturally), Apocalypse, and maybe Mojo, Arcade, or the Hellfire Club/Sebastian Shaw? I could see an argument for Deadpool and/or the Weapon X program and Master Mold/Bolivar Trask as well, but either of those could fall under one-shot releases.

I definitely hear what you’re saying, but I feel like Disney actually ends up being more strategic because of the individual Fate decks - you’re playing multiple “games” where you’re trying to most efficiently fulfill your own objective and also most efficiently thwart each of your opponents’ objectives. To play optimally, you have to learn how to both play each villain well and how to stop each villain well. I like the increased interaction with Marvel, but I feel like it’s undercut by me not being as able to slow down my opponents as we each do our own thing. With Disney, you have to make deliberate choices on when to advance your own goal and when to slow your opponents’. With Marvel, Fating seems more incidental. On that Disney note, any chance you guys will also have an early access review for whenever the next expandalone comes out? 😃

I guess for us, the flip side is we got to knowing the Disney villains SO well that we could continuously fate and draw the game out for close to 2 hours in a near stalemate. We felt with the latest Marvel editions it felt balanced but became more about completing your own goal than thwarting others - and sometimes thwarting other by completing your own goals with the more interactive characters. I love how Madam Masque takes out baddies from other peoples’ boards. It could totally thwart Titania. I almost feel you need to draft pick villains! As for early review copy access - hopefully!! :) we really enjoyed having the extra time to review this game and get honest informed opinions out without the time pressure. I didn't think I needed to follow more Board Game channels, but here I am, finding a video from 3 weeks ago about an expansion to Villainous I didn't know was coming.
They seem to be following along with MCU releases. There's a fantastic four movie that was supposed to be coming up. So Doctor Doom could be a cool one. Maybe add Dormamu in the set and possibly Magneto since X-Men are also joining the MCU
So I don't know if your copy might have been different, but the back of my rule book has Venom's silhouette! I think they originally wanted Venom to come out after this expansion, but switched around the release calendar, or maybe they used that as a way to market the stand alone Venom. Either way I really hope this isn't the last expansion!
You are correct - thanks for pointing that out! We got them switched around. Ours does have a Venom Silhouette on it but the Venom stand alone expansion does not have any hints. We hope there are more to come as well! I have feeling they will keep coming :)
My dream villainous pack would be magneto (the main character on the box) Green Goblin, & Dr. Doom kinda representing the different sides of marvel. Magneto would rep the Mutants, green goblin would be more street level, and Dr.Doom would finally bring us some fantastic 4 reps (but don’t put in silver surfer, just because we can save him for galactus 😉😉) I don’t know what the title would be but i know this would sell like crazy

Would be weird if the series ended without Dr. Doom/Galactus, Magneto/Apocalypse and Red Skull/Baron Zemo. In my country we only got the base Marvel Villainous game last year, but I'm looking forward to localizations of the expansions.

Bought this as soon as i saw it, venom will actually be alot more usuable but only if someone plays oc, was ashamed to find only 1 spiderman in the venom set
Venom is on the back of my instruction book for this expansion. Makes me wonder if they rush released Venom? Especially as there are so many more spider-men in this set which play well for Venom.
Huh, that’s interesting you say there’s no villain on the back of your rule book since for mine it has Venom, which makes me believe Venom was likely intended to come after Twisted Ambitions but something happened and they decided to release Venom first, either way I do hope they continue to add more villains, my next bet/hope is they do some X-men and Fantastic four villains like Doctor Doom and Magneteo.
I find it really interesting that this expansion adds four new heroes with Spider-Man in their name that Venom can potentially interact with, but that he actually can't win with two of them, since Miles' strength can't go below three and the Friendly Neighborhood simply keeps you from winning, even if he's at zero power.
We definitely noticed this but never addressed it in the video! We found it super interesting too. Effectively, there’s only 2 new ways he’s he can win with. We liked the dynamic! It’s helpful because Doc Ock also wants Spider-Mans.
@@TerreDiceGames Yes, I think it's a very good design decision, because it allows for these beloved characters to be added to the game and behave interestingly with every villain, but also takes into account previous expansions so that no older villains suddenly have a much easier time.

Hi! I believe Target gets an exclusive release first. Everyone else should get it after! I think it’s just the preorders that are sold out first, it should be in stores at the end of the month :) Thanks for the interest in a playthrough!! Villains I want in an expansion: Dark Phoenix- first gain control of Jean's body, then destroy the universe Dr. Doom- Take over the world, then save it. Purple Man would definitely make for an interesting villain in an expansion. He would be able to turn heroes to allies and his goal would be to turn Jessica Jones and a number of heroes into allies.
No, you cannot! You rely on applying pressure and getting fated and playing cards to get Heroes out. I suppose a player could make this harder, but generally Titania didn’t have problems finding enemies to fight.
Definitely hopeful for these characters! I’d love to see X-men enter this universe. Is it possible there’s still complications due to the Fox merger? I’m not sure how this works! Seems regardless they’ll choose villains that line up with movies releasing in the MCU :)

We really like what they did with all three of these characters and the fate deck! The interactiveness really makes it.
This new expansion might put me back into Marvel Villainous it never was my favorite but this is definitely going to put me in.

Since Venom can find Spider-Man, it doesn’t make him harder - but it does give some fun options/variability to have Doc Oc in play :)
@@TerreDiceGames depends how you read the rules, also if you play against hela, they can take and kill Spiderman, then you're a bit stuck

Think they are busy with Lorecana. It’s hard to get preorder for that.
That makes sense that a lot of the focus could be on that! I think it’s different designers though, so I’m hopeful their other franchises continue. :)

If you try to com0lete a scheme and fail, do you discard the scheme?
That's the way we interpreted it - since it said "you may play [the scheme card]." Most of them are instant pass, but that's true for two of them.
