I definitely know what you mean about the anxiety thing I challenge myself all the time. I flew to Havana Cuba one time with no overnight stay place previously set up. I walked through the streets of Havana with a small pack on my back traveling very lightly. Found a casa particular and stayed with a fantastic family in their home. I paid a little extra and they cooked a giant smorgasbord of a meal. It fed about eight people. The lady only wanted $10 extra for the meal. I gave her triple.$$$ I’m going to be in Thailand soon with an open itinerary. I’m going to play it as I see it. I do have a destination in Bangkok to sleep off the jet lag from the states. And hang out by the pool and get some good Thai food. Thanks for the fantastic travel videos you inspire me. You should have your own show on the Travel Channel. You remind me of Josh Gates from the travel channel with a touch of Anthony Bourdain. Very enjoyable to watch you should be proud!
Great video Joe 😊 Pai Canyon and Northern Thailand has the best views. We went at sunset, very busy, and didn't chance walking the paths when it was getting dark, some did. By the way we're proud of you too 👏
A great movie Joe. Pai was our favourite place in Thailand after our 1st visit during covid but after the last visit it was too busy and not so great, but your right the surrounding areas are stunning 😊
I arrived today to Pai. My first impressions are not the best. This place feels heavy to me. There is a weird vibe in the air, like if people are here but not really conscious or aware. And I’m referring to the visitors of course. Locals also are not as nice as in Chiang Mai for exemple. If you are in your early twenties maybe you won’t notice it but there’s something unsettling about Pai. But I will stay for a few days and give it a second chance.
....hate to be a party pooper ..and I've never been there but it looks like a town where people go to see the people who are there to be seen(the trendy scene?)...with a diminishing population of the original expats...only a guess on my part but this has happened in other places in the world..
The Chinese village still exists, namely the 93rd Battalion of the Free Chinese who fled from Mao Zedong's Communist Army almost a hundred years ago. They are all Thai people now.
I think I showed you can have your own experience which is great when you go. I don’t like that type of thing but I found my own side of pai which I loved
Wow...that was beautiful! I want to see that with my own eyes! Thank you for sharing not only the views but also a little bit of yourself.
You are such a lovely man. This is the first video I watch and I'll go to Pai, with little planning.

The road less traveled took you to the old Thailand that very few get to experience. Congrats on getting out of your comfort zone.
Worth it 👍🏻
Definitely "Yes" You support local business by staying at home stay.
Hi when u were in Pai? Heard the bamboo bridge was damaged.
It was okay when I was there, perhaps it was after with even more rain
ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ประเทศไทย

Without a motorbike it looks like you cannot go anywhere. Pointless for me since I don't drive one.
Avoid Pai = Soi Koa San moves on mass Full of drunken Ferang backpackers, eating traditional Thai food of Pizza and watching western movies
I think I showed you can have your own experience which is great when you go. I don’t like that type of thing but I found my own side of pai which I loved
I have been In pai for almost 2 months and 3 more months to go
Have a good trip sir 🙏🏻🇹🇭💕🫶🏻💯
Thank you
pai full of farang bell ends trying to find themselves
Let’s hope they do
