While I would not call it a duet exactly... Leprous - Slave (Live At Rockefeller Music Hall) has 2 drummers (mostly in unison), but the performance does have some great drumming, incredible vocals and the overall song is great as well!
Chris wrote all of the parts for this entire album, to include mouthing how he wanted guitar parts to sound to his guitar players, cuz he can’t play guitar. When this track first came out, he said this track/video took 11 months to put together. If you look in the descriptions of each song, he notes which take of how many takes he did to get the take he wanted. I believe Thomas’s was his 7th of 9 takes, which is why he says that at the end of the video (you stopped it before he says “take 7, I guess) The original purpose of putting this album together with the No Triggers/No Samples/No Snap to Grid was because of the amount of awful comments saying that Chris couldn’t possibly be as good as he sounds without any of that. Prior to this, Chris recorded drums for a band called I Am Abomination. The guitar player/producer for the band had to stop him from constantly wanting to do takes over and over again, stating that the takes were good. Chris would say “I’m not entirely happy with this” and when they asked why, he said he was off the click in a few parts. When they measured on the grid, he was something other worldly like .075 beats off of the click, which is almost humanly impossible to hear…but he heard it and was annoyed at himself.
Thomas Lang is one of my favorite people on the planet. I absolutely love the guys demeanor and thought process on most things. He's the kind of person that inspires you to want to learn more and be better just by listening to him speak, not even just about drums but anything.
Hey Tony loving the channel, great reactions and I like the fact you pause a lot to give us your insights and perceptions on the music. Your recent Chris Turner reactions have been really interesting, please please check out his Oceans Ate Alaska 'Escapist' drum playthrough, you will find it extremely interesting 😄
Have you found Kai Hahto, the drummer of Wintersun and since 2014 also Nightwish. On RUclips, several Nightwish drumcams and at least three Sonic Pump Studio live recordings at Wintersun, as well as audience footage from Wintersun's "sons of winter and starts" drum clinic. Kai gets sweaty a little faster in Wintersun's songs. The previous drummer of Nightwish, Jukka Nevalainen, asked his friend Kai to be Nightwish's drummer because he had to stop playing due to severe insomnia. Kai also teaches drumming. Kai has mentioned several American Jazz drummers as role models, and as a Finn, he has also studied drumming in New York.
There’s actually two separate videos of both of their parts individually. It’s cool to see how many gaps there are until you stack em on top of each other. Both of the videos are on Chris’ channel 😎🥁
Wow, I could see not knowing alot about Chris if you're not really into metal but, not knowing Thomas Lang? He's world renowned as one of the best ever.
i'm french and i discovered you at 2am reacting to jojo's opening and i'm not going to hide it from you that your reactions are great! If you want to discover other Japanese artist, I advise you Eve Mv who is just incredible in terms of diversity of music, otherwise you have the endings of Jojo's which can also be crazy to react!
You should definitely react to the overlord openings and endings, there are 8 in total and some are honestly my favorite songs, and I’d like to know what you think of them
If you continue to react to anime songs I’d really recommend the Op‘s/Ed‘s form the series „overlord“ (most of them are performed by „OxT“ and „Myth&Roid“)
Tony. If you have to listen to something right away, I suggest the most love-hated song in Japan: Usseewa by Ado. That video rocks 200M here in youtube. I wont be surprised if you become an instant fan of Ado
Your Jojo's bizarre adventure openings video randomly popped up while i was editing my own video when i needed some background noise and i love what you do. I'm interested in what you think if you check out a song called "Painters of the Tempest" by Ne Oblivicaris. Wouold be cool if you checked it out in the future
Can you react to Jason Richardson and Luke Holland - Tendinitis Jason Richardson and Luke Holland - Ishimura These two are almost at the same class as Chris Turner. You're in for a treat for guitar and drum masterclass. They make cinematic prog metal songs. PLEAAASE
DUDE IF YOU ARE REACTING TO MUSIC YOU OWE TO YOURSELF TO LISTEN TO SOME VIDEO GAME PIECES LIKE BURY THE LIGHT FROM DMC 5, AZDAHA AND SIGNORA THEME FROM GENSHIN IMPACT, WEIGHT OF THE WORLD FROM NIER AUTOMATA, AND EVERYTHING MICK GORDON HAS DONE FOR DOOM PLEASE I WOULD LOVE THAT YOUR REACTIONS ARE VERY INFORMATIVE TO WATCH

Awesome information. I respect him a lot! Legit inspiration of a musician
Oh my gosh that is so wild good grief, what an absolute monster of a musician.

Hes the actual austrian terminator. T1000s can only hope to have that leg independence 💀
Thanks for the nice review. Enjoyed it!
I‘d recommend watching Chris‘s band Oceans Ate Alaska drum playthrough of the song Escapist
It's crazy that the 5, 7, and 9 stroke rolls with the feet were split by both drummers, absolutely insane
i'm in awe everytime hearing/watching this, knowing they're both playing incomplete parts woven together

You just have to listen how Evgeny Novikov plays, he is the drummer of the Slaughter to prevail
Triggered to fuck
Reaction suggestion: Eloy Casagrande, playing Means To An End (Sepultura). I guarantee you, you won't regret seeing this beast destroy the drums.
If you're interested in more anime stuff, the opening "Tokyo revengers Cry baby" has yodeling in it
Great reaction. Need more Jinjer please and thank you! 🍻🤘
They made a video where they explained how this song came to life, worth checking out
