Love it Paul, you always find the unusual and interesting places to visit. There are lots of old settlements in that area going back to pre history but the more recent abandoned buildings seem creepy somehow, a once busy and lively home that became silent, what happened them and what was their fate?. There's nothing to fear except fear itself as people often say and Harwood forest is the only place that freaked me out enough not to go back, it took a long time to pluck up the courage to return and camp alone. Try the spooky forest of doom you know it makes sense, would love to see it from your perspective.
Cheers Damian I think they became redundant ,for a more modern and convenient way of living .And funny you should mention Harwood ,I was going to do a Harwood camp next to winters gibbet ,two for the price of one . I can remember somebody doing a vigil there and they heard a loud growl from the forest and seen a ghostly figure near the gibbet itself .Maybe one for the future ,I think I would need extra shit catchers for that one

Hello! When your "camera went off for no reason," in haunted places, Ghost Hunters sometimes have the same problem. Sometimes camera batteries are quickly drained of power, since entities, need the energy to materialize! {So say the experts}
