I’m not so sure about the auto lights being the cause of your drain, circuit is closed when key is out, power use is negligible- I would look for other causes such as the stereo amplifier or security system

Hi all seems fine now after completely flushing the rad 3 times. No loss of water and coolant now maintaining a good colour. (I did make a video on this). Fingers crossed all is well. No milky colour under the oil cap either.

Well that sounds a pretty good upgrade to me. Mind you I love MX5’s too. Try and pick up a lowish mileage car if you can. Good luck
