Or a gaffed mahi mahi tossed on bottom of boat and it drives the rear hooks so deep in your calf that you need surgery too remove it after a day of Drs playing who can pull Thors hammer outta my calf … seriously they laughed about Thors hammer . Or get your forehead stapled 11 times from a wahoo still trying too escape ! Or the blown arm muscle from fighting a sword fish lol they’re all deadly … yet every year we fly too Hawaii and my son and I charter a fishing trip or 2 . 😊❤ pleasure caused pain nothing like it .
I am glad to see someone respecting a Yahoo's teeth. I have to see people hauling wahoo into their boat and not giving them a tap on the head. All fish that come aboard my boat get a tap with an attitude adjuster

Is there a reason your gaffing most fish instead of swing them in like you did in the past? I understand not swinging in the wahoo ;) but you use to swing in the skipjack tuna all day and all sizes right?!
Great question. We would always lose maybe 1-4+ fish a trip right off the rail. Now we aren’t losing them at the rail from ripping off. If you can catch 50+ a year extra that’s 1k pounds. So the gaff has been the best decision so far. 🤙
@@RAHfishing fair enough. Everyone likes more fish in the boat right!? :) we generally swing in smaller fish up to a kg or a few pounds, then the gaff is usually a safer option for anything bigger. Small gaffs with small hooks are definitely the go, I hate trying to gaff a small fish with a big hook gaff, almost lost a weehoo this morning due to that reason, so a homemade small hook gaff is definitely on the agenda soon :)

Ono are some best eating fish. Nice firm meat. We catch them down in Mexico waters. They are fastest fish in water.
