As far as I can see, the fandom of this anime needs to understand the concept of spoilers. I mean I scrolled down through just 4 comments and 2 of them were spoilers.
That is actually great story telling, all the other princesses are waiting for him to dance with them basically saying "would you like to dance with me" but our girl shows how different she is just by walking up to him and gesturing "i would like to dance with you" its shows shes know whos the actual prize and that shes more then willing to claim it while everyone else just waits around hoping the prize comes to them

If she's confident enough to ask, she's confident enough to shrug off the rejection. Same with confident guys. Get rejected by one girl, ask the next one.

Launched an attack against Angels and Demons to cause chaos in order to wake up the WMD early since they found ancient artifacts which he believes can kill Bahamut for realsies. Artifacts can't even Off Bahamut and even with their sacrifice, best it can do is put it to sleep for another 10 years. Season 1 protags were also done dirty. Favaro didn't meet Amira in the end, Kaisar became a zombie and is dying inside (They had to make changes in the Blu-Ray to make Kaisar look happy with the zombification). Why the king wanted to kill the Bahamut? Because it woke up a few years ago and fired off beams that killed his father and other successors, so he rose to power despite being an illegitimate son and not knowing his father a few years back. Bahamut was also taken down by unity between gods and Demons. So he wants to kill it for good without help from 2 factions since Humanity can only move forward without their help. Season 2 also has twice the episode compared to season 1 but the plot is all over the place.
How do you sexualise someone who's.....flat and plain in the looks department entirely. Think for a moment, she's a plain protagonist. And she's not confident, she's actually quite dumb if you'll watch the anime. Add on the fact that there's so many examples of what you just said but you make it sound like it's rare.

She had met the king before in the Streets and they had a dance together but she didn't know who he was. So when she met the king again, she asked for the dance, and the king immediately recognized her.
Someone should make a Love Triangle in Anime, a good King and good Terrorist leader are in love with a same girl - the girl is a villain and wants to kill both of them. x'D

For those who have never watched the anime, the king had disguised himself as someone else and met her while he was in disguise. They danced while attending a street festival and the girl even admitted she’s never danced with a boy before. Once she figured out the guy is ACTUALLY the king, the she proceeds to “ask” him for a dance. It’s a cute moment and bittersweet if you know what comes afterwards…
The ending is so sad. He loses his sight so he cant see her. She loses her voice so she cant call out to him. But through touch, they can still dance together.

My favorite anime with a very good plot development where there is romance but also a good action story. This kind of anime is rare tbh. A merry bad ending where everyone thought it's sad but it just proves how true and genuine love is. It's not a bad ending as they both won in each other's embrace.

Not advocating erasure of japanese music. Advocating for just more music that hits right with amazing animation angles. Think compositionally, a visual buffet that is accompanied by an equally beautiful audio composition both on its own capable of world making and together blow your every expectation out of this world. Think Violet evergarden acoustics . Think studio ghibli and all the other scrumptuious classics. Not just amazing music in openings and endings of each episode. Which brings me back to my original comment about cost. Ofcourse doing so will cost way way more and despite how anime is everywhere and so good it is unfortuante there exist issues of poor compensation and overworked animators. What i liked about this anime was the facial structure, it wasn't necessarily the best animation but it captured REAL features wich made the characters look like REAL people rather than those Voldemort-like creatures with exaggerated body types they animate these days😅
