    Great video and editing skills ! Nice improved exhaust note but still civilized, street friendly! What did you do about the bracket that didn’t line up? Did you figure you really don’t need that support there, or are you gonna figure out a workaround with your home-grown engineering skills ?!

      It would be nice if that bracket lined up, but the 2 mounting locations are sufficient and very sturdy. Maybe down the line, I might have someone professional weld more stainless steel onto it, but for now, I’m pretty confident that it won’t be a problem.

    You would imagine it would be possible to tweak the original exhaust, drill a few holes, maybe change the end outlet, resulting in a nicer deeper note. But who is going to try?

    Where did you get the skid plate and great vid by the way 👍

      I got it off webike Japan. It’s not a skid plate. Look for under cowl kit. I also have a few videos on it.

    You modded it thought you were keeping it stock

      The only performance that I’m planning to mod are the intake, exhaust, ecu, camshaft and sprockets. I am not planning to do a big bore kit, because I hear that they’re not as reliable.

    Hi Josh, I'm wondering how tall you are? In one of your videos you mentioned you might lower your monkey, cuz you are on your tiptoes when ridding it, but I would like to encourage, you will get used to that & if you lower your bike, you will throw off the geometry of for how Honda intended the bike to handle, so it's not as safe.

      Hi Brian,
      I’m 5’2”. My aftermarket suspension has adjustments to the height, dampening and rebound. I lowered my suspension 3”. I could see a problem with lowering a motorcycle if one were to simply cut the springs, or if it is ridden off road, but my aftermarket suspension was engineered to be lowered, and the performance is adjusted for its height so that it would be safe. I’ve seen cars with cut springs, and they bottom out and it eventually kills the shocks, making the vehicle wobble up and down over every bump. So far I haven’t had any issues. Thanks for your comment.

    Just drill out the bracket hole a bit so it will fit.

      I did think about that. It’ll go all the way through past the edge. But I don’t really care. I’ll do that next spring.

    Did you have to rejet the carburetor?

    • @monkeyfever
      @monkeyfever  7 месяцев назад

      There’s no carburetor, so we don’t need to rejet. You can just install the exhaust without any issues. If you install an intake, you have to alter the ECU by either modification or reprogramming.
