  • Hey guys... so this is a really personal video that has been 6 years coming. I knew immediately after my original nose job that something wasn't right. I was terrified to get it fixed for multiple reasons.1) I was scared that it would get even worse. 2) I didn't want it to be perceived that I was promoting plastic surgery like, "it's so easy Blair did it twice". 3) Going through a surgery like this is scary!!
I finally came to the conclusion that I had to fix it... for myself. And not worry about what other people said. I researched doctors for over a year and did multiple consultations. When I ultimately chose my surgeon I was ready to move forward with the revision rhinoplasty.
I'm now six weeks out and could not be more pleased with the results!I know this is a long video, but I felt like it all needed to be said. Please watch the video before you judge. Much love to all of you!

I think the BEST thing you've done is talk about the entire process - from the first one, to the ramifications of the first one, to the second one - in as much detail as you have. Someone who wants to get a nose job MUST watch this video. You've done an awesome job of telling this story, Blair.

Thanks for doing this video, for a lot of reasons. First of all, for the truth of how hard recovery is and how unglamorous it is. Second, for the fact that plastic surgery can go so wrong and hard it is to fix. And third, thanks for just being honest. There's no shame in any of it. You look great and good luck with healing!

People are getting plastic surgery left and right. It is terrifying that our society has sunk so low. I understand feeling insecure. But ton risk your life for a better nose---that I don't get. There are tons of videos on youtube showing how people get butchered---and people still keep lining up to roll the dice and risk their health. It's mind-numbing.

    • @mimixmin

Mellow Mike It doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. There are also risks with any other kind of surgeries and in everyday life itself.

    • @mellowmike9692
      @mellowmike9692 7 лет назад +3

a.mbero Not to the same degree. Plastic surgery, most of the time, is a choice. Other surgeries often have to be done for your health. That's completely different. Also, you can't compare plastic surgery to the risks in everyday life. Driving a car is risky---but, at some point, you have to do it: going to work, getting groceries, taking kids to school. But how often do you HAVE to get plastic surgery?

@@mellowmike9692 you're right but some people get betrayed by their surgeon...tbh i thought what i was going through was a mild nosejob turns out to be my worst nightmare...the surgeon didn't inform that i wouldn't be able to smile nor cry during the recovery period...he made it sound so simple...he said subtle changes but he made a huge difference to my face.... it's not okay to judge ...some people's fate is bad ..could be related to this or any other accidents...
Had i known about all these... I would have never opted for one....my bad

    Blair,
I hate when people compare a RUclipsr's 'Present Persona' to whom they once were on RUclips, but in this case I think it's important...
I grew up watching your videos- I literally found you when you were JUST starting on RUclips and would buy anything you bought, enter in any contest, did my make-up daily with your looks, made my own videos and was so inspired to use make-up as a form of self expression and frankly, self-love. I felt like I'd made a friend in you.
The years passed, we grew older, your channel grew and changed and so did you. I began to feel that you'd distanced yourself from us as viewers. You felt the pressure to appear more polished and perfect, instead of the relaxed and goofy Blair we once would hang out with in her bedroom. We all have grown up so much since then, and changed, so I don't expect you to be the same (I know I'm not) but I'd missed you truly letting us in. This is the first video in a LONG time where I see a glimpse of that fearless Blair from years ago, and though I still love ya just the way you are no matter what, I've missed her too.
We really feel like we know YOU when you're so vulnerable with us. Thats what I love about you're videos- I feel like I'm catching up with an old friend. I'm so happy for you, because A) You're Healthier and B) You're Happier and C) You now how this huge weight lifted off your shoulders. You are a SO strong and you ARE are a wonderful role model

The lesson: Let's love and accept ourselves they were we are. Don't fix what isn't broken. How many times other people love features of our body we don't like? things we hate about ourselves are not even noticeable to others. Our perfect imperfections make us who we are. God has made us so perfect!

even if you get the statistically best surgeon, they cannot promise that the nosejob will 100% succeed. Nose is a hard body part to change and there is always a risk that you wont get what u wanted.

I love that you made a video about this because it's so important. Noses can be so tricky, and a lot of people don't realize that nose jobs can be for medical reasons too. I had a deviated septum, and when I was fifteen I had a nose job to correct it. Anyone who has had one knows that nose jobs are horrible to recover from, and I'm thrilled that you're being so honest and open with your viewers about your journey. Best of luck with your recovery, and I hope it all turns out well!

I've been watching your videos since i was 14 years old, i'm turning 20 in march. i remember haters making videos about you "secretly getting a nose job" and wondering if it was true. What i can say now is that the honesty is always appreciated by the right people and you're helping others by making this video rather than promoting plastic surgery like you fear. I too have had 2 plastic surgery procedures done, one at 16, then another at 18. Both were botched and now i'm afraid to try fixing it for a 3rd time, but it's nice to see someone i can relate too, even though your nose always looked just fine! Thankyou for this video, sending my love. (:

well..if anything, your story will show a couple of important points:
1 - Even if you are extremely confident on your choice of plastic surgeon, things can still go wrong. Sometimes immediately and sometimes over time
2- Fixing those problems is a whole other level of plastic surgery.....
3 - Plastic Surgery isn't something to go into lightly, no matter how common certain procedures have become.
So yeah, I thing you sharing your journey, and being very open about it, is a very positive thing.

      Stephanie Laurie I agree whole-heartedly.
A message to the haters: She was 17, supporting herself, and moving to the city. She was young and made a stupid decision that she regrets. Her parents also regret allowing it. She said that she knows that it is what she gets for doing that and obviously she is not proud of it which is partially why she is sharing. To me, it seems unnecessary to make a bitter, rude comment when she already addressed exactly what you are saying and confessed her guilt over it. In my opinion, you would better enjoy your life if you tried kindness. She does put herself out there and expect these types of comments, but that really does not justify the fact that you are the type of person who would leave these types of comments. Maybe you love your life now. If judging other people for their mistakes and putting them down for things they cannot change comforts you, then I am truly sorry.
I also wonder if you had enough to support yourself at 17, or if you were too arrogant to have any insecurities throughout your teenage years.
Many people have things they might like to change, and who is to say what we would do if we had the money to change them?

when you tell them that you veins roll ask them to anchor it. If they don't know what you mean ask for someone else. I am a phlebotomist and I almost never miss. I worked a lot with the elderly and their veins roll all the time. Anchor! its basically finding a vein and using two fingers, one finger above and another below where you are going to draw the blood. You basically hold the vein in place so that it wont move around. Hope you see this and it will help

I love how open and honest you were in this video. I'm so happy for you that your nose is fixed and you are able to breathe easier. You look so much happier than you have in videos past. I'm praying for a speedy recovery and no more complications. Xoxo

Omg your experience sounds horrifying. I think it's so important that you opened up and shared your experience. At the end of the day, if someone is unhappy with their body, they are going to make a change either way. It's good for you as a role model to share your experience so that if they decide surgery is what's right for them, they can be aware of the risks and know to go to someone who knows what they're doing. I respect you for being vulnerable!

You are very brave for being so vulnerable and open about this part of your life. Thank you for letting us into this window and seeing this part of you. You didn't owe us a video but yet you decided to make the decision to share even what was a mistake with us. Thank you!

I'm not being a hater against nose jobs, but I will never understand why women so often feel the need for it. I honestly never notice he shape of anyone's nose. I wouldn't have even noticed that Blair had a nose job if she never mentioned it.

When I was two years old I broke my nose and it caused so many issues with my breathing and made both my asthma and overall health terrible. I had corrective surgery when I was fifteen to try and help me breathe, and it ended up semi fixing my left nostril and worsening my right nostril. I now am eighteen and need to get another surgery so I can breathe through my nose and not be constantly congested.
I loved this video because it shows the real you and the issues of surgery as well. I just hope my second surgery goes as well as yours has.
I love you so much Blair, you were my idol throughout most of my schooling life and I hope to see more videos from you like this. 💕

Honestly your nose was fine the way it used to be before your first nose job, you looked prettier, and younger. After you got your first nose job it aged you changed your look completely. This nose job I'm not sure yet, but my point is you were fine the way God made you. Glad your are being honest though unlike the first nose job when you were claiming your "eyebrows" were different, your subs may be young but not naive we all knew it was your nose.
