yeah, i'm pretty positive it's correct. not all translations will be exactly the same, since there are things in Japanese that can't translate easily or directly into English, translators can take a little 'artistic freedom' to make it make sense. But, there were only a couple points in this that i was unsure of, and had my bilingual friend check me on it, so i'm pretty sure of this translation. Just out of curiosity though, what was the other translation you read?
