Don Nguyen go to your automotive store, Walmart or Amazon and get a couple quick wire splice connectors, some extra wire and hook it up, super easy just like the video shows.
If you wire it up correctly, you won’t have to do anything. The fan will kick on when the engine gets warm enough on its own as it would before you do anything. The switch only allows you to manually turn on the fan without waiting for the engine to get hot enough that it turns itself on. The switch does not tamper with the normal operation of the cooling system, it’s merely just a manual way to turn on the fan before temp sensor does it for you. If you don’t turn on the fan with the switch, the fan will still turn on automatically when it gets hot enough.
Not sure I understand what you’re talking about? The reason I installed a manual fan switch on my quad was because I took it to the dunes where it’s over a hundred degrees any given day and I raced and climbed with it all the time and I wanted a way to keep the engine running cool all the time without waiting for it to get hot enough to come on by itself. There are multiple, multiple threads all over online from people wanting this exact thing done and very few people knew how to do it except for me, so I posted a video showing others how it can be done. Hope that answers all of your questions.
Great video makes me feel good that it’s not a big ordeal!
I have mines wired an I think it might be killing my battery quicker , any suggestions?
Great video thanks for the help
Of course, glad you liked the video!
Where did you buy from?
You got links to all the materials used? I’m not sure where to find the wiring, the switch was easy to find.

Hey Craig I have a few questions. Is like to do this to my 06 yfz450. Please get back to me!
I have a raptor 2022 and the fan stopped working I tried to give the fan electric and still not working what should I do ? Please
Do you switch the switch in as soon as you start riding or when it lights up red light for heat ?

Just did mine this weekend anda man it killed my battery!! Do I need to install a relay??
As far as I’m aware you shouldn’t need to. I only run the fan when the engine is running, I haven’t had any issues yet.
@@craigporritt7945 yup turned mine also with the engine running weird huh
@@gerardopalomera4234 I installed a High Output Stator which puts out a little more power than stock, doing that may solve your battery issue.
So I did mine already. Is it normal I can still turn my switch on and run my fan even if they key it’s turned off ?
I would assume so, just make sure the fan comes on by itself when the motor gets hot enough... if so, you’re good to go.
Why not just replace thermal switch ?
