Then, when it happened when I was 19, I just assumed my guy friend was drunk. Yes, he doesn't let me live it down. He's my husband now 😂

I understand if the guy developed feelings recently and is confessing, but it’s absurd when the guy tells you that he’s always been attracted to you. like basically they lied the entire friendship because they had romantic intentions, and now the entire friendship is thrown out the window because you can’t give the guy what he wants because he wasn’t upfront with what he wanted at the start. he pretended to be a friend when he wanted to date. that’s what happens to me 90% of the time. it’s not necessarily logical to avoid your guy friend confessing, but we do it because the whole “friendship” basically ends when they confirm they like you and don’t see you as a friend. it sucks and is a massive waste of time for the girls as well

She will happily go to several choices 1) shame him for even thinking that, 2) just stop communicating with him- this both confuses him cuz he doesn’t know what this means and frustrates him cuz he doesn’t know where he stands or what to do 3) realize that she has a temporary slave and puts him to work, with NO intention of paying out (not necessarily sex, maybe encouragement, time, food)
