鉄道大国の日本でも踏切事故はありますが、日本の交通ルールでは、踏切通過の時は、一旦停止して左右を確認してから通過します。
あと、映像の中で遮断機のバーが降りてくる前に列車が来てしまうノがありますが、これは鉄道の方の設備が壊れてますね。
ive relized that railroad crossings in other countries are very different from those in sweden. when a train is getting close, the sirens warn long before the train actually crosses, and the bars cover much more space.

止まらずにそのまま通過すると違反になります。

2:27 those level crossing barriers are as useful as an Umbrella in a Meteorite Shower. They were still 3/4 up when the train was passing. Stupid
move by all the car drivers as the warning lights were flashing so people probably thought the train was further away as the barrierss hadn't begun to lower.
These drivers show gross disregard for the power of a train.The sad fact is that they do not survive to learn that lesson.

It is not the trains that are dangerous, they have absolute right of way at crossings. It is the drivers of the road vehicles that present the danger, to themselves and more importantly to innocent road and rail users.
Rule of thumb.....if you are following a large truck & there is a RR grade crossing ahead, start filming.

I still don't understand why somebody would think it's smart to put traffic lights after the railroad crossing and not before the crossing.
Which clip are you thinking of? Most roads operate in both directions. So if the lights are _after_ the crossing for some road users they are _before_ the crossing for others.

4:09 ahh the Flinders Street Viaduct in my home city of Melbourne. I'm not surprised the truck driver even attempted that considering the Montague Street Bridge exists, although I am surprised that there's a truck driving down Flinders Street. haven't seen that before

We have a number of grade crossings in our town. I never cross them without a glance down the tracks. You will not win if you cut off a train.

Those slow controlled experiments when the train hits the car are a joke. They’re not realistic in showing the real results of a train hitting a car. The trains are going much faster and hit harder, thus giving the drivers(the cars) a false sense of security thinking that when the train hits me it’s not going to be damaging.
There is no such thing as a dangerous train.
Those truck and cardrivers have giant daughters who can blow those trains off the railway like a model train.

Mostly some trains don’t derail when they hit trucks or cars but in my country…oh my fucking god…a truck was crossing a railroad crossing and the driver didn’t know there was a train. The train hit the back of the truck really hard that it caused 25% of the train to derail
