Honestly I cried during this video, not because I was sad but because it's so relieving to hear all this out in the open in one big chunky video. It's like seeing stuff I've already seen from a whole new perspective. He who shall not be named should not have been able to hold down people like that and stifle creativity, your content now is so refreshing and you can just tell how much happier you are.

As a person who started watching Max and Ross AFTER the situation with sky happened. Can I just say that this is horrible and I cannot believe you had to put up with that for so long. And that YOU guys were made up to be the bad guys.
Hearing this, I hope I dont become anything like this man and to any other aspiring youtubers or managers dont become like him.

I just wanna say you, Ross, and everyone else who went through torture by him are incredible people and yall deserved better.
(Also it's probably cringe but,) I truly appreciate your existence from the bottom of my heart.
I also wanted to add on when the drama was made public I wasn't on his side but, a part of me hoped that he would change for the better. (This went on in an unending cycle) When more truth about him unfolded and everyone shared the hardships they went through I cracked. It was one of the factors that partook to me going on auto pilot. (Months passed by within a blink of an eye, I don't recall any of it, I've been trying to get better and you guys helped me a lot.)
For anyone seeing this that may think this is for pity or something like it, it's not.(This community is great) I just remembered that writing your experience and sharing them can help you go past them.

It's therapeutic for Ross and Max it's therapeutic for us fans and it just it helps release all the toxic past for us to understand our creators as viewers I love this and I wish Max and Ross the best and I'm glad they feel safe at this point in time and have the strength to talk about this. It does break my heart to hear how many bits I thought were funny running gags were actually manufactured to fit into a specific gimmick for whoever was working at the office, as just one example for how backwards the narrative was there as everything unfolded. Still, I'm glad to hear you guys are happier where you are now that you're out.
I'm glad you guys made this video. I remember when I was a teenager, I would watch you and Ross when you worked at the office, and it was always, to me, the highlight of any video. So when I hear all the bad stuff that happened there, I didn't how to process it. I wanted to ask so many questions. And at the time, I didn't comprehend the boundary between content creator and fan. Over the years, I've come to realize how the internet, and the way we treat it, skewed my way of thinking. Everything that happened at the office was, and still is, not my business. While I still had questions, it wasn't my place to get involved. Doesn't help that I don't research HALF the information I have. I mainly got information only on RUclips for the longest time.
Long and short of it is this: I'm glad to know this information and get some closure from an unhealthy attachment I had so RUclips, but I'm happier it was on your terms and not my own terms. You and your friends are doing great work Max. Hope to see more from you for as long as you want to!

I would like to point out that honestly, I really wish that Barney was still a contact crater from what I've seen. He hasn't been on RUclips for a very long time. This video is a year old, so I'm mostly posting this because I want to express myself. Since this video was uploaded, it had brought me great comfort many many times. I'm not sure why I found this video comforting to me, maybe because you and ross are so genuine this episode and hearing you talk about your past rough situations has helped me get through mine. I downloaded this episode to an mp3 at one point because when I had nightmares or couldn't sleep from anxiety, putting my earbuds in and playing the recording of this video would help me sleep. I play your videos all the time while I play games or clean or work, but something about this video specifically has helped me so much. If you ever go back through old comments and see this, then I just wanted to say Thank You Max and Ross!

Watching back old videos, when max and Ross were doing videos with ‘he who shall not be named’, they never looked happy. Like truly happy and having fun. It always looked like they were faking their happiness. I’m so glad they can start to heal and open up about what happened.

I think it’s a universal thing that jumping around in Minecraft and just _talking_ is very nice and therapeutic. Jumping can also mean how in the hide and seek videos the seekers _forget_ they’re seeking because they’re just jumping and talking

as someone whos been around since 2015/2016 this was such a refreshing video. seeing you guys openly vent how he who shall not be named treated everyone just felt so normal. it felt literally like just sitting down and finally letting yourself breath and being able to get your perspective out was just so nice to listen too. your podcast style videos will always be my favourites and to just listen to y'all finally letting shit out is so good to hear. happy tears were in fact shed. love you both

i always precomment on videos, but this is one that i kinda wanted to say more on after watching. the end was so heartfelt, despite the shit that was being talked about, and i'm glad you guys feel safe now talking about this stuff. there were a lot of "hoo boy" moment while you guys were parkouring: even with knowing about most of it it's a lot to actually hear said out loud.
i was one of the people blinded by nostalgia: i didn't have any social media when it first came out, but i heard of lil tidbits from people with no sources. i thought it was just people talking shit for talking shit's sake. the first i actually heard of anything substantial was through a short post on twitter from ross in like 2018 and then it all coming back on twitter very recently. i'm glad you guys talked about this stuff in this video and felt comfy uploading it after cause i remember, in your twitlonger about it recently, you didn't feel comfortable saying his name but here it feels very casually talked about. hoping this video reaches some people who still are blinded by nostalgia cause those assholes felt like they were coming back recently (seen some people pleasantly talking about both the ceo and the fucking paedophile, jfc) and they shouldn't come back.

I started just watching you guys more because you were my favorites. I never really completely understood or realized what lead you guys to leaving. I remember reading it was simply a falling out as friends.

I used to watch the early office videos, stopped before the son situation happened, and then years later started watching this channel. It is heartbreaking to hear the things that y’all went through and extremely tough to hear the truth behind the years I missed in between. You and Ross have gotten me through tough times and I’m blessed to know that y’all made it through yours.

This video (and the one in the description) is fascinating. I always wondered exactly what went down and had only pieced together bits and pieces from offhand comments in videos (because I don't use twitter or anything). The one who must not be named always gave me bad vibes, even if I did enjoy the content at the time. But hearing some of what was going on behind the scenes, that shit sounds like a nightmare. Glad y'all got out of it.
This was honestly cathartic because the office was my childhood, and while I did love the office, you guys are the only one's who really stayed relevant because you guys were the soul of the office. For a while after He who shall not be named quit RUclips and started focusing on his music career, I still followed him because I liked his music and his humor, but not him as a person. **n was always an asshole, and he got what he deserved, even as a outsider who knew nothing about the inner workings and relationships of the office.
I'm a person who gets nostalgic about the small things, or the persona's that a creator makes as a secondary character to the them on screen, like Earl the dungeon beast, Dada the Dolphin, and- "HEGSHEJUSUEHEJUSU!" "Oh, hey Brick". I'm one of the guys who say make what you wanna make because I know that I'll watch whatever you guys put out. I may push it off for a week at most if there are other things I'm doing, but I will genuinely watch whatever you put out, whether it's another 20-30 minute podcast placed over minecraft hide and seek/parkour videos, long game playthroughs like your raft series, it takes two, or a way out. Even going back to some of your IRL bits like Baking a cake (Ross Temple of Dooming a Mountain Dew out of a cake lives rent free in my brain) or the hot ones challenge, even if they end up being once a month videos, seeing a return of those types of videos would be a godsend because just seeing you, Ross, and Christa in your natural habitat trying to IDK Bake a pizza while Ross complains that even though it's not delivery it also isn't digorno. So, anyway, I hope you and Ross keep being just Max and Ross (and that maybe your editor needs a raise) and that you enjoy your work and have fun with it.

Look, I'm going to be honest. I respect you both and even after all the crap that has happened. There isn't a way to take back what happened but you went your own ways, and I'm glad you both. "Idol" was an inspiration for me 13 years ago, now that I'm a older buck, I see what he really is. Even if this is old, Max and Ross, you guys always made me laugh more. When I was 9, I remember being one of the first ppl to watch 'he who shall not be named' s Minecraft video way back. I was introduced to max and ross through them and have been a fan ever since. While childhood me longs for the ignorance to the situation, to hear that my 2 favorite youtubers went through so much and that MANY people went through so much makes me infuriated and I hope that much light gets shed on the situation and that those who were affected have their time to heal, if they are even able to. Thank you max and ross for always putting out amazing content even though you both could've ended it so many years ago. Thank you for being genuine and continuing to inspire not only us who have stuck by you but also the new generations to come
I found you guys through the office and after everything that happened I have stuck with you two purely because you always made me laugh and just cheered me up in bad times. As a person who went through an abusive situation with my best friend which involved our own version of a 'person-who-shall-not-be-named' watching you discuss a traumatic experience you shared with your best friend made me feel very validated. Thank you for sharing what I'm sure must have been very hard to publicise.

I remember after you guys were no longer in the offices, I stopped watching he who shall not be named's videos because you guys were my favorite people there. Even looking back at those videos as a kid I remembered feeling slightly uncomfortable because I could tell you and others were uncomfortable there in recordings. I never knew why yall left or any of the drama behind it, I just ditched his channel and went to find yall again. Hearing you two talk about this, about what two of the worst people there did to yall, and how you were treated after leaving sickens me. I just wanted to say that through all my years on youtube, I've always enjoyed your content. Out of all the RUclipsrs out there whenever I watch you guys I feel like we're hanging out like we're friends. No one else makes videos like that and I don't think anyone else will. All of you are such good people and I wish I could meet all of you. The best way I can think to describe it is that we're all sitting at a restaurant table, all the RUclipsrs I watch. Going to watch the video in the description, showing and explaining everything, it hurt. I used to love getting home from school and watching one of he who shall not be names videos. It made me laugh, especially when you and Ross were in those videos. It felt like a hole was drilled in my chest. But I'm glad that I know and understand. He who shall not be named made me believe you were just mad max all the time. But I watched your videos almost every day now and I see that isn't true. The way I see you is a very affectionate friend. You make fun and tease your friends, but I can tell it's all lighthearted fun. You guys are so fun to watch and it's nice to have your videos play in the background as you talk about random things.
You and Ross deserve so much better than what happened to you and I hope to see your channel grow.
I remember watching his videos with Max in them and I did thought they were all just being funny but in their later videos I started to noticed that Max was getting very annoyed with being called mad Max and eventually I realized that he was actually frustrated and annoyed with being called that
I remember watching That Guy all throughout middle school and a bit of high school. It's still mindblowing seeing all the evidence against That Guy, but in hindsight, I should have known since BinFlop.
Growing up as a kid I found a lot of joy in the videos y’all made during the years of working in that hell. But after the whole downfall, I had high suspicion of bs going around. And I was right. Just from the awkward uncomfortableness in those irl videos. Just from a mental standpoint I could relate to, so many emotions were faked. And as a young teen, you don’t expect to relate to that kind of shit. But, just looking at your faces, and how you talked, it sounded like me whenever I’d go to school. Just faking my emotions, and it made me feel so bad. Because people I thought that would never have to go through that kind of mental nonsense did. That’s when I realized adults weren’t invincible to this shit. And it scared the shit out of me. Im happy y’all are out of that situation. No one deserves those kind of nightmares. And I’m happy you two are finally free to make content that makes you happy, and speak freely without fear of being hurt. I love you guys so much. And from the now adult who grew up with you, thank you for being amazing.

And I won’t lie I feel really guilty I ever supported a system that hurt so many people. But I’m glad to see you both doing well regardless. I kinda fell off of watching he who will not be named like, just before a lot of this happed so I missed most of this.
Recently I was looking for some Lethal Company mod videos and I saw your channel and was like “Oh shit that’s Max! I didn’t know he had his own channel, awesome” and quickly became a fan. I have now watched the vid in the description and read a lot more into it. I’m glad things are in the open now, I’m glad you and Ross are doing well, and I hope all of the other victims are doing well now, you all deserve it. I know this video is a year old now but I’m glad to be around now to see your funny and awesome content!

i’m also kinda relieved to hear all of this now. especially some of the things surrounding ***bop. i really admired him growing up but when i heard about what he did, especially to someone who was close to my age at the time, really fucked me over. hearing that he was always a dickhead to begin with just helps me get over it a lot better for some reason.

i remember watching those videos when i was a kid, and when i found out you two had seperate channels in my teen years i was so hyped. i always loved it when either of you were in a video. when all this came out, i was so fucking angry. at him, ofcourse. i wish you both the best, and im glad youre out of that situation.
it scares me that people like that exist, im unfortunately very easily manipulated so the fact he had the audacity to do that and the fucked up mindset to be so vile? it makes me so terrified for when i dont have my family to help me watch out for bad people.

As someone who didn't hadn't followed a lot of this stuff, kinda cathartic
when Max said "I was acting upon my own free will though and I deeply regret how I treated Tim" broke me. because it encompasses a lot of what happened. its just filled with so much emotion.
From what I've seen about the whole situation (just to clarify I am not directly involved so I may be wrong), he who shall not be named was doing the regular youtube friend group thing, until Team Crafted moved in together, that's when he turned it from friends playing games to a business. As soon as he started treating like a business, he went mad with power with the way he treated people and made all the grown adults share the same resources.
The Vanoss Crew has been going strong with little problems with each other cause they all are actual friends who love playing games and are each taking care of their own channels and help their friends out.

It's so revealing to know what actually happened in the offices I've been watching since the beginning of them and it sucks to know all of the pain that he put you guys through and everyone else that ever made contact with him but I'm happy you guys finally got this off your chest and I hope that he never makes contact with anyone else ever again.

Honestly I'm so glad they talked about this in a video. I've seen their Twitter stuff before but idk something about hearing them rant and talk about it feels a but like closure maybe? I don't know. As someone who loved these two in the office and moved on from the office to them when they left, and then learned later when I finally got things like Twitter what had actually happened, this is so refreshing. I'm so glad they were able to get out of that situation, that they finally feel safetalking about it, and that they created this new fan base and community of creators. To this day, Ross and Max remain some of my favorite content creators and I'm so proud of how far they've come. You two are amazing. I don't see myself leaving this community anytime soon. 💜🖤
