How to Create an ACE eManifest With a Personal Shipment Using a Mobile Device

In this mobile tutorial video I’ll show you how to create an ACE eManifest with a Personal Shipment and send it to CBP using BorderConnect.
I will show you what documents are required with a personal shipment, how to change your shipment type and send it to CBP.
I will also show you how to create shipment information on an ACE eManifests and send it to CBP using BorderConnect's eManifest Sync.
A Personal shipment is a type of Informal Entry that allows for the release of shipments consisting of non-commercial, personal, or used goods being transported by a highway carrier.
To qualify as a Personal Shipment the goods must not be for sale, must not be the property of a business, and must not be brand new unused goods. The most common scenario in which a highway carrier would use this shipment type would occur when an individual is moving from Canada to the United States and engages a highway carrier to transport their personal belongings.
A CBP form 3299 is also required to be filled out and provided to the CBP officer at the time of arrival.
