This video's existance is fascinating to me. The lyrics are accurate and hilarious but with all the other /v/ musicals being primarily from Disney or Dreamworks, seeing one from a French/Belgian cartoon made in the 60's that I loved as a kid but has almost no internet presence is like finding a unicorn.
There's a surprising amount of songs from the Muppets too. Like I thought I was one of the only people I knew who'd seen/liked Muppet Treasure Island but there are as of now like 4 songs from that one movie.
I don't know if it's cause it's a movie song that nobody would think anyone would consider to use, or if it's cause of the catchiness of it, or how funny the lyrics are, or what but I'm loving this. (Some of even the best /v/ musical songs have the occasional hiccup in how the new lyrics fit- this I have a hard time finding any.)
"How bad can I be?" Is already fairly straightforward, so making it more straightforward (which pretty much every song this musical does) would be redundant.
LMAO I fucking loved Asterix and Obelix movies. Unfortunately, nothing fucking changed in the game industry since this very funny parody song. Ehh.....it's only getting worse and worse..
And it’s still perfectly accurate 8 years later
If anything the AAA industry became even worse.
Unfortunately.
nah, AAA industry got worse than this
I can't believe I just found this masterpiece over 7 years later...
And sadly its perfectly correct even to this day.
@@wolfsokaya yes. Even more so.
Still relevant to this day

It's asterix isn't it? I thought that was still very popular.
@@abbyalphonse499 yep, it's Asterix and Obelix
@@jacekhozejowski2869 Hell, I even know this one is asterix and cleopatra, the specific one this cartoon is based on.
Aged like fine wine.
Is that phrase even needed here? Nothing has changed in the slightest since then.
I just noticed now everytime I watch this, I sing along the "DLC will patch it in." part... It's like a reflex.
10 years later and this song still accurate
Its incredible and sad that this is more relevant now than ever😢
This aged quite well
This shit still holds up
Still holds up like a charm
Unlike most DLC, library cards are actually free.
i work out at the library :)
Hidden treasure of the internet :-D
This aged like fine wine
After watching this video I was overcome with guilt over being a white male. 10/10. Thanks for the bribe!

A whole decade later, and this still holds truth.
Some things never change.
I like this song because it's catchy but I hate how true it is. I fucking hate the game industry now.
Even today nothing changes
This is so true, it hurts... :-(
Pure fucking gold
I wonder why no one has made a /v/ The Musical out of the song "Money is such a beautiful word" from the Tom and Jerry movie.
Or "How bad can I be?" from the Lorax
"How bad can I be?" Is already fairly straightforward, so making it more straightforward (which pretty much every song this musical does) would be redundant.

this has aged like parmigiano.

WOW!!!!
Not a single dislike :D
Marvelous lyrical job btw X)
Sadly 10 "troll" review bombed it with 10 dislike over the years. :(
This comment aged perfectly now that dislikes are gone
And here we go again
So sad this is from 2014 and a lot of this is still actual (The Last of Us 2 as the best example)
Red Dead Redemption 2, uncharted 4, Last of Us and our favorite Witcher 3.
"I swear we're really progressive..." LOL
Where'd he get the isolated instrumental for this? I haven't heard that specific background track for this song.
Somebody found it on a shady Canadian karaoke bar website, I'll see if I can find it
That'd be neat. Also great work btw, the /v/ parodies are my fuel
Still relevent + on movies too.
The truth has been spoken.
Still accurate
Whoever made this parody must be Nostradamus.
Why? The industry never changes
@@picolete It only gets worse.

HOLY SHIT! I didn't know never ever actually got made!
ASTERIX :D!!!

What's the name of the original song?
Salil Sawarim - Abu Yasser
Nachtmahr ahahah, seriously do you now the real name ?
Only thing I know is it's from Asterix & Cleopatra, but I guess you could've figured out yourself
The Legendary Horse Man just search "asterix and cleopatra cake song"
Cake with Arsenic
And it only got worse...
I know this is actually a place where Papyrus is an appropriate font but I'm still triggered
Le jeu vidéo à l’arsenic
Babbity bap doo-wah, breddy gud
NEVER

What film is this from?
Ah, I found it, nevermind. Asterix.
Asterix and Cleopatra (1968)
@@moralapostel geez. That movie was already kinda old when I was born around 20 years later. O.o
How did you get the melody
Just like the animation. It is that very old Asterix movie: Asterix and Cleopatra
@@techpriest4787 I know but where did he get the melody
A bit out of sync, but nailed all the jokes.
And to think nowdays it got even worse and worse

Aww yiss no dislikes yet
Sounds a bit like politics... but despite how bad the facts are, the song is awesome in every language, and in any arrangment!
Actually that rat would love that COD, 'cause u know, rat kids, that meme... :v
