back in the RTD days, the old Union Station layover used to be at Vignes & Bauchet ... outside of LA Mens County Jail. The current Union Station layover for the 33 is a few blocks from there as well.
@MetroLinerXLZ - The 1900s were unique. A lot of them had slow takeoffs like the 1988 TMCs ( 2000-2266 ). The 1900s were the option order for the '88s. These were Methanol powered...then got converted to diesel in 1999-2000
MCTS had 5 RTS buses with a 6V92TA Detroit diesel with a Allison 730 or 731 transmission numbered 3220-3224 they also had the 1980 Neoplan N416 numbered 3300-3334 same power pack and 37 of the 1986 Neoplan AN440 numbered 3620-3656 same power pack note 3624 retired in 1993 do to major engine components going out
@sieman700 - lol. yeah that was the old destination sign for the layover. Technically you can still use the sign. not sure if its been updated to Downtown LA Union Station
I really, really like and enjoy this recording. Gawd this bus sounds beast. Its sad that its getting harder and harder to find beast buses nowadays. I would love so much to ride one of these again. So glad I was able to ride Transit Systems #1110 back in April. This is one awesome recording, I can enjoy riding this bus over and over again.
OMFG YES!!! I love the sound of this bus. I just LOVE it's slow-sounding takeoff. This bus reminds me so much of #1978...The ending just had me done for! Good one Eddie!!! I will now pass the fuck out. I'll just have to change pants later.....
Miss those in los Angeles

Oh love that slow, smooth and powerful sounding acceleration of that 6V92!
