Great video! I was on the inaugural cruise with you. Oh my goodness, those bathroom doors were crazy! It took me half a cruise to figure out how to lock them. And then I still kept walking in on people using them,, even staff members who couldn't figure out how to lock them!😄
Great tips, especially the bathroom lock. I could see that being something kids don't notice. Curious about the movement on the cruise. Did you have rocking everyday, or just one or two days of the cruise? I know conditions will vary, but I wonder if it was just a particular day.
Thank you so much for these tips! I have questions - how early do you recommend arriving to the shows? Do you know if they had lobster at the Windjammer on embarkation day?
@@michellem2432 I would say around 45 mins, earlier the better for getting best seats in the space. They did but not sure if it was because it was inaugural sailing!
Very helpful video. I was particularly interested in your comments about motion sickness. I am extremely sensitive to that and was not happy to hear this news. I’m slated to go on the Icon in April. Could you let us know where on the ship you were? I understand that if you are near the front or the back of the ship or on a very high floor or very low floor that you will feel motion more. We are pretty much in the center and I’m hoping that will not be an issue.
Thank you for watching! You’re correct. Our cabin was a Central Park Balcony, deck 14 midship. We could feel the motion of the ship there, but do think it decreased to an extent when we were in the Royal Promenade or Central Park, for example. Our recommendation would be to go to those or similar areas of the ship if you need to. Hope this helps!
It was different for us since we were the inaugural sailing so it randomly was available one day. It’s typical around 45 days or the first of the month of your sailing. We could book the theater, ice and aqua shows plus things like the comedy show!

Glad we weren’t the only ones!! 😂😂😂

It was almost every day we felt it. But one or two days more above the rest. Again, so surprising since it wasn’t rough seas.

What shows were you able to pre-book and how far in advance?
