Have you got any memories from Universal Studios Florida around this time, 1993? If so, let me know in the comments

Oh wow! I didn't knew you were there that year. ^_^
Have you also videotaped the Halloween Horror Nights events somewhere in 1993, 1994, or 1995? Currently, no one has uploaded home videos of these.

Y'all won't believe how much I would've really love to experience universal studios in the 90s
My first time going there was back in 2008, & I had a great time going there.
But man, I can imagine how much I would've love going there in the 90s. I would've enjoyed the Rides/attractions that I never got to experience like kong, back to the future, hanna-barbara, nick studios & Ghostbusters spooktactular
Just everything in general was/looked so much fun back then
But I'm very happy to see what they were & how much fun they were

I never went in the 90’s but had went in the 2000’s onward. It’s definitely changed for sure but man old school Universal was a nostalgic back in time trip for sure. Jaws, Earthquake/Disaster, BTTF, T2, Twister and Shrek 4D are great fond memories
    Dillon
(Love the old school videos btw)

I was there in the summer of 1993 with my family on vacation!! This makes me want to go to my mom’s house & look at the pictures! It’s possible that it seems so great b/c it’s from my perspective as an 11 year old, but nothing compares to what the park was like then. Kong was the best ride ever…probably even to this day (for me). The last time I rode it was in 2001 at 19 yrs old & even then it honestly felt like you were in a Kong movie. No other ride has ever felt like that for me. Earthquake, Jaws, Back to the Future were so amazing. Walking down the st in Hollywood was the most amazing thing for me because I had a thing for old Hollywood when I was a kid so it truly felt magical. And Lucille was my idol back then so when I first went into the Lucy tribute as a kid it was my happy place for sure! Wow…I’d actually forgotten about that part until watching this video. What an awesome nostalgic feeling! I’m glad I got married & had kids young because I was able to take my boys there twice before Jaws & Back to the Future were gone. They also got to experience Jimmy Neutron & Twister. I still remember they were only 3 & 5 when they rode Jaws for the first time…they were fascinated & horrified at the same time! I really wish they could’ve experienced the old Kong because I know they would’ve absolutely loved it! We went back in 2021 when my oldest graduated high school & while we had fun it definitely didn’t feel quite the same. It was the first time we’d been since 2011. I truly hope they never get rid of ET because I feel that if it ever goes away, the park will never be the same.

I got memories. I worked in the Costume Department, building/repairing Fred, Woody and the rest. I carry on my forearm a 1st degree burn from a heat gun during a (clumsy) repair. If other departments were tied up, we were sometimes tasked with fixing or temp fixing other things around the park, like the trampoline in Fievel's Playland (two words... zip ties). Afterwards, we of course had to test it, not for our own personal entertainment but for the "children's safety" (wink). Costuming would also build/supply the rocks used in Earthquake, the ones that would drop onto the tourists in the preshow. They were made from blocks of sofa foam, shaped into concrete rubble with an electric bread cutter and then spray painted red, brown-ish, gray-ish. The department was not too big in those days, a little cramped. You had to be aware of your surroundings or you'd end up walking in on a performer in the middle of getting dressed because they didn't always stick to their dressing area ( and yeah, I did that....twice! embarrassing) To this day I still remember how to build those characters/props, but after all the chemicals and cuts, I just stick to 3d animation now. So like my Horizons "Easy Living" loop you saw, I made an animated 90s Universal music loop with that classic Universal globe and soundtrack. I get to relive the days of that beautiful spinning globe, without being exposed to gallons of acetone! 😆. Great upload, thanks.

ridetrackx, WOW! so many memories and I loved hearing all these, so cool that you used to make the rocks for the Earthquake ride, I remember the pre-show very well where the guests did the shopping mall scene and the rocks would come crashing down on them, Great times . . . thank you so much for your memories 👏 & Yes Ive seen your animated 90's Universal Studios loop of the globe , its pretty fantastic, excellent work, I will put a link here for people to check it out ruclips.net/video/5mTnbl-oQQ8/видео.html
