How to Make a Simple Tea Box

- I love making boxes! This one is a Christmas gift for my wife. It may seam like a lot of work, but it's actually very simple project. I made tons of similar boxes before I started my RUclips adventure. For me it never gets old.
Materials:
-10 mm thick beech wood (sides)
-4 mm thick plywood (top, bottom, tea cup)
-balsa wood (dividers)
-PVA glue/wood glue
-crazy glue/super glue
-box hinges
-water based gray stain (tea cup)
-water based polyurethane clear finish
Overall box dimensions (LxWxH) - 215 x 132 x 67 mm

Man after my own heart, not only Proxxon tools, but Workshop in Corner of your Lounge. (After progressing onto desktop CNC, mine became Lounge in the Corner of My Workshop!).

Ernest Lie Thanks. My miter gauge is fine, it's just not accurate enough while hanging out of the table. This always happens when I'm cutting second miter, but there is a simple solution for this...2 minutes homemade stop block ;)

This is the irony. Here on youtube, you see lots of very cute and beautiful DIY teabox like this one. When you check Amazon and online retailers, you hardly find one.

nothing screams louder "I made it for you" than wood hinges in my mind. making boxes is my favorite thing. there are lots of ways (and videos :>) out there making hinges. made on a scroll saw seems to be the easiest way to me.
