In this video I will take you on a virtual tour to Salaulim Dam and Garden which is situated in Sanguem taluka of Goa state.
So we all visited the dam on Sunday 21st of August 2022 at around 1:30 pm afternoon. It was a cloudy day with light drizzle which was a perfect weather to visit this place.
We took entry from gate 3. The entry fees for Adults is Rs 40 and for Children is Rs 20 each. One must carry an photo ID with them to get entry.
So talking some information about the dam, the dam was constructed over Selaulim River, a tributary of Zuari River in Goa. The dam consists of 2 composite earth and masonry with spillway ( duckbill spillway ) made up of concrete. The dam is 42.7 mts height and 1004 mts long making it the largest dam in Goa. This project was started to cover the needs for irrigation, drinking for South Goa.
The best time to visit Salaulim dam is during the monsoon to see the beautiful spillway overflow and scenic green mountains.
