Yes, the term "Hinduism" is a term like "Culture", "Art", "Botanical" or "Dishes" etc. there is no clear definition in using these terms, it only defines a broad spectrum of "ingredients", nothing specific and yet "Hinduism" clearly defines the Indian way of life and the many facets of rather differing beliefs and customs - I fully agree !

Religion and Sanatan dharma are two different things...sanatan dharma gives humans freedom follow your conscience of dharma and karma.... Dharma means living your life as per the highest moral standards. So even if you’re just trying, you’re a dharmik. What Sadhguru says is a relative truth and its definitely not the ultimate truth . There are other Sadhgurus who say different from the ISHA version . We certainly can consider Hinduism as any other religions . Hindu Bhaktivaad preaches belief as a most important thing . ISHA is preaching the yogic part of Hinduism . But Bhakti and praying , chanting Gods name is more more and more easier and popular path that the most hindus follow 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Bhakti yoga is one way among the 4 yogas. Even in Bhakti yoga, there are no commandments on which Deity/God/Guru/Rishi/Bhagwan/Devi to choose, this is exactly what Sadhguru said. Bhakti yoga is not the ultimate truth, nor is it the prescribed path for everyone. The Bhakti movement started 1000 years ago with various sects across India, popularising Bhakti maarg due to the condition of the society in those times. During the time of Adi Shankara, Buddhism was the popular path, so popular that if not for Adi Shankara, Buddhism would have overtaken all other sects. Tantra was popular in Kashmir and Bengal for the longest times, Jnana Yoga was popular in other places. Different sects/paths are popular during different times and places in the timeline of Bharat. No path is bigger or smaller than other. Rig Veda makes it abundantly clear "Ekam Sat vipra bahuda vadanti" - "Truth is one, but various ways to reach it". This is the essence of India. There is no Godhead figure in Jainism, Sankhya, Yoga, Sikhism, Buddhism, Advaita, Trika Shivism, these are very significant sects/paths. There is no one religion in India, there never was, there is no 1 or 2 or 3 holy book which dictates what a Hindu is. All it means to be Hindu is that there is a variety of choice in spiritual paths before him/her unlike anywhere else in the world.
Belief is THE problem, look at Abrahamic religions is all about beliefs. Seekers of Mukti are centered on experience, not belief, universal consciousness needs to be an inner recognition not a belief, which belongs to the mind, which is the veil itself.

It does not actively seek to convert others, which puts it at a disadvantage against religions that use conversion as a tool of expansion, as easy prey. That doesn't mean it is not a religion.
