the fact that its even a question is laughable the world has been cleaning up Britains mess after the fall of their naval empire for the better part of a 125 yers
Absolutely wrong. The British took control of Palestine after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. It's job wasn't to make everything perfect for Jews or Arabs in Palestine - it's job was to manage the territory that had been under foreign control since the 70 A.D., and try to prevent it from immediately collapsing into a genocide (probably of Jews, not Arabs), as was occurring elsewhere in the power vacuum (Assyrian, Greek and Armenian genocides occurred exactly at this time, post-WWI). It wasn't their job to leave everything perfect. What were they supposed to do after just finishing an unparalleled war? They had an obligation to the world to try to hold things together. Unfortunately, WWII was always in the cards. Zoom out.
@@benb6527stop defending the British. Stop acting like they’re innocent. It IS their job to bring peace. They fucking colonized half the world, genocided millions, starved their subjects during the war, and now the war ends and they’re the victim and it’s not their responsibility to being peace?
Please,,,, It would not matter who was involved, the palestinians will never be happy about anything.
The title is true! The UK is responsible for many crimes as a colonizing country. Like many others. And should come clean for her crimes. But compensations is another problem, can children be responsible for the crimes of their parents?
Yea
Divide and Rule - it had become so entrenched in the human psyche we cannot get away from it (I am from South Africa)
Does the video cover Jordan as well?
The Kingdom of Jordan is a defacto Colony of Israel.
@@maxyogi what's that mean?
Yes
Yes .....‼️
May to December 1945 would have been a good time for Britain and the USA to have enforced a two state solution. The people of Israel and Palestine could have been living mostly peacefully for the last 70 plus years.
Yes!
No. Turkey is.
Explain.
@@stevenblack7928 read Barbara Tuchman’s epoch-making history of the start of WWI: “The Guns of August”, specifically the chapter: “Goeben, an Enemy then Flying”. She explains how the Ottoman Empire got itself involved in WWI on the German side. This led to war with Russia, Britain and France and the dismantling of the Ottoman Empire to the Turkish rump state we know today. In the course of that the British ended up with control of the Western part of what is known as the “Fertile Crescent”. From that follows the Balfour Declaration, the British mandate of Palestine, the splitting off of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the partition of what remained of what the Romans(!) called “Palestine” to a Jewish and an Arab state by the UN in 1947.
But it all started with that fateful decision by Enver Pasha in August 1914 to afford protection to the German battlecruiser SMS Goeben and flaunt the applicable laws of war prevailing at the time. You can view it as a Greek tragedy, if you will, in which each of the protagonists goes toward his inevitable fate without realizing it and without the ability to do anything about it, all conditioned by this initial, fateful decision.
Yup. And India and Pakistan too.
Why, yes. Yes, they are...
Scapegoating is a Semitic concept.
They play a part, but all 3 sides are to blame.
You are in DEEP DENIAL
There is no doubt that brit is guilty not only for 🇵🇸 but for thousands and thousands of others atrocities around our planet.
The French AND British.
And Germany
Yes Obviously.
Know your History.
It is Britain that gave Sovereignty to Israel. Thereby legitimizing it's claim of justification for War (Holy) with the Palestinians.
No. The UK left 75 years ago. Arabs and Israelis have agency. If they choose to fight, that’s their business alone.
75 years is within one lifetime. Not a long time at all
No , "Palestine '' is not named after Palestinians , the name was given by the Romans Palestina just to insult the Jews , the people are Arabs , you also say that the Zionists did not have a good case for forming their own State , State of Israel , o yes did for more then 3500 Years , Israel will always stand !!!❤
3500 years🤣😂😅
Bro what 💀
Yes, they are.
It goes back to before the war when Britain msde a deal with the Arabs and took Palestinian land for rich Jewish people who supported the allies.
No, the British are not responsible. The Israelies and Palestinians are responsible.
Clueless
Stupid
I bet the Palestinian would be happy if the Jews returned to brookland
Yes
