GBO2 Kshatriya: Strongest Support in the game?!

  • Kshatriya is a 700 cost support MS that boasts absolutely ridiculous midrange melting power, highest mobility of any support and incredible staying power thanks to the wing binder defences. It is balanced out by being practically the largest MS in the entire game and having only 0 melee defence.
    Your main objective with Kshatriya is to stay at midrange and try to nuke generals at every opportunity. By comboing off of your hand beam stun into chest beam and follow funnels you will deal huge amounts of damage to any MS. You can also do more extended combos by starting with the wing binders MP cannon to heavy stun and then go into your damage pumping combos. You should also be ever vigilant of allies engaging enemies so that you can use your bombard funnels on them. Your funnels have a total of 20000 damage before type advantage or ranged modifier as long as all four funnels connect. This is double the power of the mega beam launcher on the FAZZ.
    Because your funnels and wing binders instantly overheat, it is best to build as many auxiliary generators as you can. This will also help you with your other weapons because you can now afford to overheat them to pump yet more damage out into the field.
    Your beam sabers have a high base power and 150% downswing modifier so if the opportunity presents itself, you should try to stun downswing combo a general. This is risky because of your melee defence but very much possible because of how Kshatriya has priority 2 and high performance balancers.
    You should always aim to stay close to your team with Kshatriya. This is very easy to do because the mobility of Kshatriya is nearly on par with that of generals. 140 walking speed, 210 high speed movement and 75 thrusters easily allows you to keep up with the frontline and always be in the ideal position to quickly delete enemy generals.
    Despite your large size, it is easy to be up front because of the utility binders skill. This skill effectively acts as shock dampeners, 50% damage reduction and damage control as long as you are shot in the wing binders. It does not apply vs melee attacks but it means that most attacks at midrange will not stun you or even deal very much damage so you can easily outshoot any generals that try to shoot back at you.
    The Achilles Heel of Kshatriya would have to be the 0 melee defence. It can be increased to 30 with parts but MS such as Enhanced ZZ Gundam or Zaku IV can still kill you in one combo regardless. It is also for this reason that I earlier recommended building auxiliary generators to keep up stun and damage output. Generals and other Kshatriya can even deal huge damage in melee to you so you must be very careful if any draw near or you decide to go into melee range.
    Overall I think Kshatriya can be called the best support in the entire game. It is an incredibly strong support in a cost where your previous options were the painfully mediocre Dag Doll or the level 2 variations of FA Hyaku Shiki Kai and Mass Production Qubeley. In my opinion, it is a must have support for any team unless the map is Arctic Base or Underground Base.
    If you are saving tokens for a 700 cost support then you will have no better opportunity than this one. I sincerely recommend you roll for it if you have the required 195 tokens saved up. But also keep in mind that the 4th anniversary is coming soon and thus Unicorn Gundam and Sinanju are coming as well.
