    Video was great but the caption is misleading - thought that everything is for a free version. End up wasted 1,5 hour for nothing since I cannot add good looking main menu.

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  15 дней назад

      Hi there this is the current video and nothing has changed in terms of usage. If the select template option is not showing up, you might not have the Ocean Extra plugin installed. Or, try publishing changes and refreshing the Customizer page because you might experience issues due to cookies.

    EDIT: Nevermind, the nav menu option is only available in the pro version of Elementor, you should change the title of the video.
    Wow, thank you very much for this!... what sticky header plugin is it though? I installed the Oceanwp sticky header but it doesn't appear in the customization menu.

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  2 года назад

      Hello Tony there's no reason to change the title of the video. If you watch the video, you'll see it's possible to create a custom header with OceanWP and free Elementor (without the pro version). You can even use the nav WordPress widget that comes with Ocean Extra or the nav widget from Ocean Elementor Widgets. If you join our group, we'll also be able to provide better help with all the questions you may have :)

      @@HeirWulf the one that appears in search results is an Elementor Pro widget. If you don't have the Ocean Core Extensions Bundle or Ocean Elementor Widgets installed, you can use native WordPress navigation widget that comes with Ocean Extra. Since Elementor is hiding those widgets, you need to enable them.
      Navigate to your WordPress dashboard, Elementor > Settings > Experiments, and disable the option to hide native WordPress widgets, then save settings.
      After that, reload the editor, and you will find the widget you want to use.

      Hi! To get access to OceanWP custom widgets for Elementor, you need to upgrade to the OceanWP Pro Bundle or Ocean eCommerce Pro: oceanwp.org
      However, you can also make use of the default OceanWP navigation widget for WordPress. Elementor disables these widgets by default, so you need to enable them to display. You'll be missing a lot of customization options if you use this widget in particular, but you'll get the job done.

      Hi there, sorry for the belayed reply, YT has shown your comment just now. When you install Ocean Extra, the OceanWP Panel is moved to your WP dashboard with lots more features enabled (you'll see a blue icon at the top of the list). So go to your WP dashboard, OceanWP > OceanWP Panel and play with the options you need. We have a separate video to showcase the options and also documentation with full guides for options: docs.oceanwp.org/category/809-oceanwp-panel
      For further support questions, kindly join our FB community group: facebook.com/groups/oceanwptheme
      As for videos, we have more changes planned so we'll be making new videos when those are in place :) In this case, other than changing the name of the panel, the location, the looks and adding more options, the functionality displayed here has not changed so you won't be having any issues.

    Hi, thank you so much for this tutorial video. How exactly can you get the nav widget provided by OceanExtra to be shown? On my Elementor sideboard I found "Navigation Manu" under Wordpress section, but this one is not customised like the Navigation widget you added to the page on the video. I know you answered this question about a year ago but in the elementor setting > experiment section I couldn't find anything to solve this problem. Might I be missing something? Thank you in advance for your help.

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  Год назад

      Hi there! Thanks for choosing OceanWP! The Nav widget in this tutorial is a part of Ocean Elementor Widgets, which is a premium plugin and a part of the OceanWP Pro Bundle. But as we explained in the video chapters and descriptions, if you don't have the OceanWP Pro Bundle, you can use exactly that WP widget by Ocean Extra to create a custom header either way. Yes, it won't have customization options as the one here but it will do the job. If you want to get the Pro version, we'll have some special promos soon and we'll announce it by newsletter so you can keep track of that: oceanwp.org/newsletter-subscription/

    Sir, i am using ocean WP, can you help me to find out html code "meta name=view-port". because i wanna change my website in to fully responsive mobile. thank you so much

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  6 месяцев назад

      OceanWP is fully responsive so no need to change HTML codes. Every page builder you use also has specific mobile settings that help you make the content look best on mobile devices, including Gutenberg so you should do it directly via those builders / blocks by adjusting available responsive settings.
      For OceanWP and our responsive settings in the Customizer they're either clearly labeled or have responsive icons next to them, like typography: docs.oceanwp.org/article/825-how-to-use-typography-responsiveness-settings

    I think i solved the question below for now, but how can I prevent this for other templates that I want to insert in oceanwp? :
    Hello! I also made a new header template for my website. Thanks for the video! When I activated it in Ocean Customizer i got a ''double'' header: the header that I customized in Oceanwp and the new header template that I made with Elementor, have ''collided''. I don't know how i can solve this without having to delete everything. I hope my question is clear enough. Did a make a mistake by not starting from a clean webpage? Thanks for the help in advance :)

    Hi, i used a template ocean wp for my website, there is a border around the link on my menu (and on my others links) when you click on it. I don't know how to remove it. Can you help me please? I looked everywhere :-(

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  2 года назад

      That border is added due to mandatory accessibility requirements from WordPress. You can remove it by using a custom CSS code: a:focus { outline: none !important; } I would also highly recommend you join our Facebook support group, as we're really not in the position to provide support through YT. We're running a promo that expires in less than 72h, so perhaps you'd like to check it out. We have a 14-days refund policy period, so if you don't like it - all you need to do is let us know and we'll refund you :) oceanwp.org/core-extensions-bundle/

    How about without Elementor. After paying $100/yr and my site getting slower all the time, I dropped Elementor. I mostly use block themes now but they don't play well with some heavy plugins like LifterLMS or pretty much anything that adds it's own header or sidebars.

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  Год назад

      OceanWP supports custom templates with any builder of your choice. As for Elementor, it depends on how you use it and your hosting. While we recommend using it to build main pages, we definitely still recommend leaving your theme to regulate everything else. And of course, applying best building practices along the way

      I really want to try OceanWP at my next projects because I like the clean and minimalist look of the theme alot. Sticky header feature does not appear to be free anymore. It's SO hypocritical. Just say it outright that it costs money and don't waste people's time thinking it's in the "free plugin" as a "free feature".

    • @OceanWP
      @OceanWP  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Julie, the original Ocean Sticky Header was NEVER free, so I'm afraid you have confused this. There was a third-party plugin that was indeed free, but that plugin has a vulnerability and has not been maintained for a while so that's something we can't help you with. That being said, we never advertised as free or a free feature. Hope this helps
