You should check out Tommy's cover of Phantom he does both parts and made an actual video to it. And one of my favorites of his is his cover of ABBA's Money, Money, Money w/ his old band ReinXeed),
I've been watching Ken for years...idk what you mean by high range channel... but I promote Tommy's music (w his permission) so I follow a formula. I don't think he can go wrong w any choice! Today is Tommy's birthday, I hope you enjoy him extra! Have great day!
Tommy films this at several locations in Scotland used in the Outlander series. Tommy films at the actual location of Culloden, which of course the t.v. show Outlander didn't do out of respect. The show does several versions of this song, newly imagined for each season. This is quite beautiful. Could one hope that Outlander will use his version if they get one more season?
Although an electric guitar is the chosen instrument it's still a cover with respect for the original. Tommy made a beautiful rendition of Skye Boat Song!
Yes, we need much more Tommy J.!!! In a few weeks you really should check his wonderful Christmas Covers which were a daily "present" to his fans in last years december.
And his band Majestica’s ”a Christmas Carol” album .. an orchestral/symphonic power metal saga about Scrooge. Written by Tommy in a style to be performed as a musical.
The greatest compliment to a song is when someone wants to add another layer or spin to it in my opinion .. it’s like the song takes flight and multiply and gets the ability to rise from the ashes like a pheonix , reaching new times and new audiences.. and a really good song lends itself to do just that. Oh .. yheea Tommy is great .. his a really good musician, songwriter and composer too .. come Christmas you might get a couple of suggestion for his band Majesticas “a Christmas Carol “ album a orchestral/ symphonic power metal musical to be .. Tommy is the creative mind behind it 😀😀
Tommy knows how to choose beautiful places for filming. I just recently rewatched this series. It's so nice to see these amazing views again. Of course, Tomiya’s cover is another masterpiece in the collection of masterpieces from Tommy. Thank you for this wonderful reaction.
Hi Ken. I'm new on your channel and love your reactions. Would be happy if you wanted to make a reaction to Tommy Johansson's cover of The Phantom of the Opera. He does both voices himself and you really get to hear his vocal range. He is an amazing musician.😊🎶🤗🇸🇪

Tommy @ReinXeed is in fact walking through the places used in the serie Outlander.
Yes Ken, you´re in the same rabbit hole as we all, it happened quite quickly ! Tommy is keeping the lid closed. We can´t escape. Well, nobody wants to, anyway. Happy landings !
Tommy also arranges several of the covers that Floor Jansen does on her channel. They of course know each other since her husband is the drummer of Sabaton. They should do some duets tho
Thank you, Ken! I've always loved The Skye Boat song and I did some research on it a while back. I believe the original words were Gaelic but when the English version was written later it was based on the story of Bonnie Prince Charlie’s escape after the Battle of Culloden, and the woman who arranged it, Flora MacDonald. I wasn’t familiar with the first verse either but the woman it talks about is Flora. There are many verses now it seems, but they are seldom all sung. The one I learned as a child started with, Sail bonny boat, like a bird on the wing, over the water to Skye. Carry the boy who is born to be King, over the seas to Skye. 😊
You are doing a very nice job with Your comments and explanations. And also - we, that not have English as our first language, we even listen to Your voice in a way that You maybe not have thought about. Keep talking! /Charlie
I saw your reaction to Dan and Violets Kiss From A Rose song and you mentioned you should check out more of Violet. So one reaction you should see from her is her cover of Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame it's beautiful
I actually sang this in high school (*cough* 30+ years ago). Beautiful song. My only complaint about this rendition is his dynamics, or lack there of... It seems he starts in fortissimo, and leaves himself no where to go dynamically. My high school music teacher really instilled the dynamics of the song into us, which in the end (IMHO) made it more powerful.
I thought the same, actually. He has a fantastic voice, and the instrumentals are well done, but I really dislike this arrangement. It starts off in a “blastissimo” dynamic level, which doesn’t fit the text or character of the song, and there’s nowhere to go. If an entire song is the same dynamic, you lose so many opportunities to be expressive and make it interesting for the performers and listeners.
My mother used to sing this song to me as a lullaby 65 years or so ago - she did her best bless her lol. Not one of Tommy's best...How do I get to your inbox? Because suggestions in the comments don't seem to work. I want to make some suggestions (slightly early) for Christmas. Thanks.
Good series...still goink on. sassenach. Tommy's version is way better than recent or last season version of the sonk. I kinda struggle with series nowadays. When working long hours and travelling home there isn't that much free time but eat, take a nap, then 2 hours free time. i always choose gaming bc it's better in every way. Better stories, you are involved, meaning you aren't just passive like watching a movie. Eat, then i watch something light. Not serious series. When i have time i will watch outlander though i think i will never have that time. I "watched latest season" epidode 1 and 2. After 30 mins nah, i actually have something else what i really want to do with little free time i have.

Team Tommy thanks you for continuing to check out more of Tommy's music!
Someone please pay this man to hear She's Gone!
Amy, this is not a high range Channel =) Emerald is a better way forward after 1 octave........for Ken., Hi Ken.

I haven't heard anything that Tommy has done that I did love, he's just so talented!
Just a tip, Tommy's made a rendition of "Phantom of the Opera" and I do believe you'd enjoy it.
That Charvel sure sings. Oh, how it sings.
Really appreciate your reactions to TJ, thanks for that!

The outlander theme song is a mishmash of a poem by Robert Louis Stephenson and the Skye Boat Song.
That image with the white house is Falkland in Fife.
