This is great instructional video, however this is a caramel latte. Just in case someone makes this and is wondering why it's different than a coffee house macchiato. Macchiato means "marked," and to "mark" your milk, you put the espresso or "coffee concentrate" on the top and you don't stir it. Otherwise it's a latte! :) Can't wait for Santa to bring my ninja coffee bar!
I was thinking that. At Starbucks (and other big places) they actually use vanilla syrup in it, too, to make it really distinctive, cause they know people are gonna stir it.
it's really not a lot of work. it's so simple. ...I recently purchased a Ninja and omg I love it!! it looks cool, it's easy to use and clean and it's versatile. I was even impressed with all of the information it came with and how well wrapped everything was in the box. I highly recommend this coffee maker. :) and no, I'm not being paid to say this. lol.
M. Ren I got mine today-have you made a specialty cup? Can you tell me approx how many oz that makes? I thought it would make a full cup but I think it only makes approx 4 oz-what about yours?
+1979discodiva After looking over the Quick Start Guide, I noticed that it stated that a cup size of specialty drink will produce 3.1oz, while a travel size will make 4oz. If you look on the inside of the guide on the bottom left, it will let you know how much each setting will produce for cup and travel mug sizes.
Please stop spreading ignorance, this is a latte. A macchiato is a shot of espresso with very little steamed milk or foam. Macchiato means "marked" or stained, so the espresso is barely stained with milk. The drink should be about 3 oz.
