In a single 15 min incense, not only did I have my first shiny bird check in a gal. Zapdos, I also caught a wild dragonite.
It very helpful to learn that they didn’t not increase the encounter rate
Did my first daily incense in a very long time to see if I could get a bird… I GOT A MOLTRES!! Not shiny but I panicked, used a golden razz and then realised I could just use one of my Master Balls. 😂

I was hoping that they did one of two things for this event:
1. Made all birds a shiny bird. That way you can see you one bird a month basically
2. Increased rates. Like guaranteed one per incense but its random. Thats fair
Nah if they made it so every bird is shiny it would defeat the purpose because shiny birds are meant to be rare so it would make it not a big achievement
I’m so afraid to catch anything on incense after I did one time and as soon as I got back to the reg screen I watched a zapdos take off.
i started playing again in november 2023, used daily incense almost everyday and only encountered a single galarian articuno. i used my masterball on it
not sure why im watching this when i havent seen a single galarian bird for months

If you make fast catch, the pokemon recycling within the 15 minutes from incense is lower. If you catch "normal", watching the animation, it will disappear more quickly from the map, which means another pokemon will appear, which means you have higher chances of seeing a Galarian bird. You're welcome.
You can fast catch and then delete it from your inventory ! Even faster

Two days ago I caught a galarian Zapdos it’s CP wasn’t good but I caught it
Total time spent has been close to 10hrs of daily incense using Roar of time and I’ve only had one non shiny encounter with zapdos 😢

I USE ROAR OF TIME.. 3 TIMES = 18 MINUTES + 15 MINUTES DAILY INCENSE..CLOUDY WEATHER..GOT NORMAL GALARIAN ZAPDOS..

The thing is. The weather conditions in the game have to be right for them to spawn.

It's because they're not actually doing it every day 😂 legit if you just do the 15 minutes daily you'll at least get 1 a week.
All people wanna do is pop roar of time and do a 2 hour walk, then complain that they don't see a bird 😂

No it has to be daily incense unfortunately but if you have dialga you can use roar of time to make it last longer
No. They are exclusive to the daily incense.

Make sure you turn off your GoPlus from catching because the shiny Galarian bird will flee if the GoPlus sees it.
