Yesterday i spent a ton of candy and dust on dialga, used my incense for 1 hour and 55 minutes.. NO bird at all. Not one encounter.

Btw bro I don't think routes boost their spawn rate BUT if a g bird spawns on a route and you do the route again a g bird will spawn in the spot it was last time!

As for pokemon you haven't seen normally on the incense, like the pancham, they did announce that the spawns will be different for the incense starting with this event and going on

No shiny Galar birds, yet. But I got a shiny Pokémon today.
But I wish they would let us make routes about far or little bit more walking to another spin spot, or maybe add a few more spinspots.
It’s only on new routes that you haven’t done before, and it’s only an increase in the amount of spawns that come off of your daily incense. About one every 18 seconds compared to one every 30 seconds or so.
My friend actually caught a shiny Galarian Moltres yesterday and i have 0 words for how insanely lucky that was

Manged 4 encounters in 2 incenses, 1.5 hours on the first and 3 hours on the second. Managed to get shiny zapdos!

They don't increase the birds appearance they increase how often incense spawns appear i.e if you get a spawn a min a route may increase it to 45 secs per and that's only on routes that you have not done before

I got a Shiny articuno 5min into the event. From what I'm hearing from others is that the birds are showing up in areas you've caught them before. Today I saw Zapdos, no Shiny but in the same area that I found Shiny articuno yesterday
Just did a 40 minute incense and no birds I’ve spent a total of 55 minutes hunting and not a single bird

Following a route for the first time gets you more spawns od daily incense. Which means more chances of a bird. So don't complete them
