If you watch the clip of TPOH playing at the Indie Hall of Fame you'll see that the progression that completes the chorus actually consists of C and D, not G and A. Beware though, the C and D aren't standard bar chords - some sort of major seventh, I think. Please have a listen and maybe revise / complete this handy instructional video for a great original rock song. Thanks.
