I think tip number 2 is very crucial. A lot of boxers think they can just block and walk in from a round kick. Until I spar the Thais they just do a sideway round kick with shin across the arms, it completely stuff the entry.

I do kickboxing for 2 months. Today my coach made me spar with a more experienced guy. I got beaten up so bad. I couldn't defend any punches and kicks that my opponent threw. My coach said me that I can't "fight" at all and called me an idiot. Now, I'm thinking of giving up from kickboxing. What's your advice?
They only do hard sparring and when I say that I want to do a light spar, they say that I'm scared.
Terrible gym culture. You shouldn't give up. I think you should either find a new gym or start training at your house until you can train somewhere else. You could potentially find someone to spar without outside a gym to help you learn. I know you were asking for Joe's response but I hate to see people give up because of douche bags.

Can’t they catch your kick if you continuously target their arm
Possible, but attacking the arms themselves is very different than going for the body. The angle of the arm kick, as well as the speed of a 45 degree round kick, could prove too fast for the opponent to react. You can mix it up by kicking low, high, and mixing in the front kick as well. Don’t just constantly go for one target in any situation because it allows the opponent to build a strategy. If it works keep doing it, but mix things up so you’re not too predictable.

@@willianrosales5516 so what if he got kick it’s not enough to make him beat usyk. Usyk is so much more advanced with his boxing it nullified anything these guys can do. That’s why they getting that low pay check . They ain’t getter chedder
A kick boxer definitely has an advantage they would have to be very good to beat him but with kicks and knee being involved it takes usyk out of his depth. That being said usyk could potentially outbox the kickboxing but they shouldn't try to box him anyway.
Also the reason boxers make more money is because it's more popular
