So interesting to see how you set up the painting station. I love all the content you put out there and I hope you get more views on this videos because they are very educational!!
Oh... my... goodness... I just found your channel and went to your website. I am bewildered & could only sigh as I saw how you paint. The way velvet coats are translated, the color, the looseness! My heart left out of my chest.
I have been struggling to make my pallet more effective over the years. For years I have only had a piece of glass to mix on, not turning to any dedicated arrangement for colors or placement, I am getting to the point where I could benefit from that... your pallet has a lot of advantages, and it is something I can easily create. Thank you!
Thanks for this very helpful video - I have 2 questions? 1. Since you don’t really use mediums do you generally paint alla prima? Would I need medium if painting over a period of time? 2. Does Terra Rosa and or transparent red oxide replace burnt umber? Thanks so much! I am going to take your class during winter! Can’t wait 😊
@@lisalisa8486 thanks ! No those colors are all different, yes I’m pretty much all a prima but if I can’t finish a painting and I put it away for a bit I do use Oleo gel to reset the surface. I hope that helps !
@@cindycompertfineart7276 RGH is a quality paint company, and cobalt blue is a expensive color and they have it as a good price at a large quantity, most paint companies don’t offer that size.
Good morning Aaron, Is the wood painted a neutral color under the glass of your pallet? Thank you very much for this video! It's very interesting and helpful. In general, I find your content enjoyable, informative, and fascinating. Thank you again! Lisa
@@craft-o-matic399 thank you ! Good morning, under my palette is actually a piece of pastel paper, I’ve sealed in there so it won’t get wet or anything like that.
@@AaronWesterbergSmile I hadn't heard of pastel paper, but I looked it up online. What color pastel paper do you use Aaron? Thank you very much! I wish you a fantastic day! Lisa
@@craft-o-matic399 well I’m not sure the name but you want something similar to what color you key your canvas so your palette looks the same. Mine is a warm blue grey.

Interesting setup how you group the Cads. I’m curious as to the RGH Cobalt, is there something specific about that brand that you like?

@@AaronWesterbergSmile Good to know, thanks.
Love seeing these videos, Is there a reason for putting yellow orche after cad red+ terra instead of next to cad yellow?
Thank you ! I'm just keeping my cad colors together thats all.
